I really enjoyed it! It was a very easy read but the story was gripping all the same.

I just finished (within the past few weeks), The Fault in Our Stars which I loved, and Mr. Penumbras 24 hour book store which was pretty good too. I'm working on The Book Thief which is great so far and next I will be reading Wonder. I have TONS on my to read list on Goodreads.

Harrowgate (by my friend
)
Allegiant, trying to read it but it's sucking.
Ask the Passengers, a YA novel about I found on the street (neighbors are always putting books they don't want on the sidewalk) it turned out to be good. Sort of coming of age story about a girl who went from living in NYC to a small town.
The Silent Wife, MEH MEH MEH
Sharp Objects, I LOVE GILLIAN FLYNN!

@Bao: I liked it and obviously I am slightly biased since my friend wrote it. But without giving too much away in the book I would recommend reading it after you have your second baby.

@Bao: @Cherrybee: The Book Thief is one of my favorites! Can't wait to see how they make it into a movie.
@mrsjazz: I just finished Dark Places by Gillian Flynn and it was AWESOME. Way better than Gone Girl, IMO. And do you mean Allegiant from the Divergent series? Had you read the other ones? I liked it; I thought it ended really well!
I recently finished The Spectacular Now and really loved it. Reconstructing Amelia was a page-turner. And The Mountains Echoed is by the same author as Kite Runner, and my favorite of his books.
Up next on my list is Sharp Objects, now that I'm hooked on Gillian Flynn. And then I'm going to look into that Far From the Tree book that someone posted about on the boards earlier today!

@littlebug: Do you have to read Dark Places before Gone Girl? I haven't read either, but is there an order? I'm alllllmost done with Book Thief, I'm hoping to knock out the last 90 pages tonight it's amazing!
@mrsjazz: I'm still trying to get through Divergent, I like it but I'm not as sucked into that one as some other books I'm reading in between.

Has anyone read Eleanor and Park? It's a YA novel and I've heard good things about it.

@littlebug: Yes. I LOVED Dark Places...definitely better than Gone Girl even though I liked Gone Girl (except the ending). Yes, Allegiant--I read the other two and liked them, this last one seems like she phoned it in.

@Bao: No order on the Gillian Flynn, they are not a series. But Dark Places is the best!

I just finishes The Book Thief and I loved it! I'm thinking of rereading it again already. It was so amazing. Now my SO needs to take me on a date to see the movie. Lol!
I have like 25-30 books my mom just gave me to look through and probably read. I don't even know what most of them are off the top of my head, but I'll read anything!

I just finished The Husband's Secret. It was a good, quick read and I had a hard time putting it down because I wanted to know what would happen next.
@Koolbreeze: I read it a few years ago. The movie looks really good!
@lisa1783: I haven't but I know several people who liked it.

I am reading bread and wine. My moms group is have a twice a year book club (none of us can read a book a month...sad I know) and we are getting together and making the recipes from the book. So far I really like it. It's easy short stories about her life and friends and each chapter has a recipe with it.

@mrsjazz: bummer about Allegiant! And I LOVE Gillian Flynn's books, especially dark places!!!!! Sooo good.
I think I am the only person to not like The Book Thief.
Currently reading: The Elegance of the Hedgehog. A coworker lent it to me and its very interesting!

Recently finished UnSouled, which was good. Allegiant, which I didn't care for at first, but after reflecting, now really liked. Code name Verity and Rose under fire, both were excellent. Now working on My Sister lives on the Mantlepiece and it seems good.
