I have one i-play swim diaper and then just bought a few more from a consignment sale. I don't love the fit of the i-play but maybe the size is just wrong for my LO?

I saw some Charlie Banana's at Target and we usually use Disposables but I think I'm going to get some reusable Swim ones.

You know, I was thinking about this and I was seriously thinking about just putting those cloth training pants on DS for use in our pool. Reason being that pee just comes out anyway, disposable or dedicated swim diaper, so it's really just needed to catch the poop. Am I crazy?

We also have iplay. They are quite snug, but I guess thats the point to make sure there are no leaks. My son fit both the med and large size at 17 lbs, but the large seemed more comfy for him.

Our Mio did not fit well at all. I haven't had good luck with reusable swim diapers to date.

@looch: I think the difference is that the swim diapers allow water to flow in and out so they don't get full of water when swimming (they don't fill up like a balloon). Some people also say that swim diapers are stronger to hold up to the chlorine.

@T.H.O.U.: I hadn't thought about chlorine, but I think I am okay with just a cloth training pant. I don't care if they get bleached out. When we go to the ocean, LO wears his swim trunks with no diaper.
I agree about the regular disposables holding the water, I know with a swim disposable, they don't have that liquid absorbing gel.
I'll have to try it and see what happens.

We have two i-Play diapers - a 12 month and an 18 month. We'll see which fits best in May when we go to my parents house (beach + pool!!)

I'm going to buy a couple Imse Vimse. I've read that they fit well over several seasons.

We have an i-Play to try out this summer... no idea how it will fit, but I sure hope it works! I hate disposable swim diapers... they get so full and heavy!

We've used iplay since he was about 6 months, but I bought the 12 month size for him. He grew into then pretty quickly, and can still wear them.

@looch: I think the regular diapers will soak up way more water
I think I will try a couple of different brands to see what works for us

I tried iplay because they were at target, and they gave my LO a bad rash. I'm scared to try another cloth swim diaper.

We have a Kushies swim diaper. I haven't tried it out yet, but it's cute, it didn't cost very much, and it has good reviews. I'm excited to see if it works:

We use iPlay, and we're very happy with them. They fit pretty snug around the legs, but I think that's the point.

I just bought an Applecheeks swim diaper and put on DD to try for size - so cute! Love that it has snaps like a cloth diaper so it will fit her this and next year.

I just bought a few of the Charlie Banana ones at Target. Here's hoping they work for LO! They're pretty cute - I got a bright pink one and a white one with little cherries all over it.
