I went to home depot and chose a really light gray color.... I also brought home a sample of a really light mint green/light yellow ish color to see if DH wants to do two walls a diff color...
I want to keep the walls pretty neutral and add color through the decor

I know we're super early but I'm leaning toward Benjamin Moore Silver Fox, a medium gray-beige. We're painting out living room and hallway Abalone this weekend, which is a shade lighter on the same color card. I heard gray helps babies sleep better and I love the color, it'll go with the other grays and blues we're doing the rest of the house in and we can introduce color with the decor like you said. Also I love the way gray babies' rooms look!

Our whole house is Valspar Malted Milk with accents of red and browns. Before our MC I had decided I wanted to paint the baby's room (now the dogs room) the same color. Now that I'm off work (teacher) and not pregnant (yet) I'm painting it to get it ready for our next try.

Our nursery has crown molding separating the room into an upper and lower wall all the way around. The upper wall will be a medium grey and the bottom part will be a light grey. I want to be able to add big pops of color with other things and I didn’t want it to be a color that I’d get tired of quickly.

I thought I wanted yellow but my mom came with me to pick out paint and she said my yellow was too bright. We couldn't agree on a yellow so I picked a mint green instead. I knew I'd Java ton of pink in the room so I wanted a non girly color for the walls so it didn't look like someone threw up pink in there.

We hate painting, so the nursery is the color that the previous owners painted it (a sandy, tan color) and we picked a theme based on that: Safari/hippo.

We lucked out and our walls are a color we're going to keep! We just had our entire house repainted when we remodeled a year and a half ago, and it's all in pottery barn shades of neutral/tans/etc. The baby's room is a khaki/gray mix and we're going to accent with pinks and I'm so excited! It looks sweet but modern:)

Our nursery will be Farrow & Ball's downpipe. Dark gray. I'm weird like that though. No theme either.

Well we had 3 dark brown walls from the previous owners and I really liked the color but they needed to be repainted, we were able to find the exact color and so we touched those up and have a mint green wall as an accent where the crib will go. I'm starting to wish we would have went with a blue color isntead since green is kind of "common" in a girls' room. I don't know if DH will go with a redo though.

We did yellow, white and a light neutral blue. The color came from the loose theme I wanted. A) I wanted something gender neutral and b) I want stars and moons. My husband has these ceramic sun and moon wall items from his youth that I saved because I wanted to reuse in the nursery. So that's the driving force.
LO is 9 weeks and her nursery is still not done! hahha

I'm thinking about blues for the guest bedroom/eventual nursery. Nice and soothing, with a starry sky theme. We're team green and I can't stand most nursery themes. I want something that I like, not something gendered that the baby doesn't give a crap about!

Paint colors always looks MUCH STRONGER on the wall than they look on the chip! I've made this mistake multiple times and now I'm really picky about paint. Most people don't decorate/style enough to make the really bold colors work. I like keeping wall colors muted or relatively neutral, so they look stylish instead of childish.

@highwire: haha, you guys sound like my husband! He wants to leave the nursery as is (currently a bright yellow with a Buddhist saying on the wall), but I want to paint it! Luckily, my best friend has offered to help out, so I just need to find a color my husband is okay with. We keep our whole house simple with tan walls and white borders. I add color through decorations, this way I'm never locked in to anything specific.

We picked a pale yellow called Banana Split and painted 2 of 3 walls (the other wall is all windows). I thought about grey but our bedroom is grey already and figured maybe we should do a different color for the nursery. Thinking we might do decor in a pale pink...rugs, lamp, bedding...but still deciding.

Haha, this made me laugh because we couldn't decide on the final colors we wanted for a very long time! I knew I wanted a light charcoal gray and two other brighter colors. Well in the end we never decided and that's why we ended up with this....

We left the walls as is (like a soft tone gray) and I added plum curtains and a few plum and marigold accents throughout the room. It's mainly white & gray with plum & marigold accents.

We couldn't decide so our nursery was the neutral builder's light beige that the entire house was. When we painted the rest of our house this spring we didn't paint either the nursery or the office because they will be switched now that #2 is on the way. The nursery will either be the medium beige like the rest of the house or the light green (very similar to the reply box on HB) of our bedroom. While we have one DD we are team green with #2 so we don't want to paint the nursery girly and then have a boy who has to share it with DD.

We went with a soft grey on the walls, white accent trim, and then bold colors everywhere else. We wanted something that would work for a boy or a girl, that wasn't too babyish. My husband made window valances in this great Marimekko fabric and we just built around those colors - lots of orange, kelly green, dark teal, bright yellow.
