We've never had a Bumbo. I have this weird theory (and no evidence to back it up) that Bumbos slow kids from sitting on their own. Lala started sitting on her own at 4 months and Mei Mei started sitting on her own yesterday at 2 days before 4 months!

We got one from a friend and I can't even remember... isn't that terrible? I think it's blue or green. Will have to check it out when I get home tonight : )

Turquoise, with the white play tray. I sold it though, we barely used it.

turquoise. bought it used and used it a ton for both kids.
we didn't start using it until pretty recently with olive, so i don't think it impeded her sitting up... since she's still not sitting up anyway at 8.5 months. she can sit for a little while if we put her in a sitting position, but topples over shortly.

Turquoise too! LO isn't close to sitting independently @ almost 4 months and we only put him in the bumbo for a few minutes at a time. It's a change of scenery for him!

@Mrs. Jacks: we actually rarely use the bumbo and use the bjorn bouncer instead since we can attach the toy bar to it. at 4-5 months she wasn't even able to sit in the bumbo without completely slumping over. she's just a little behind in the physical milestone department.
but at least she's crawling now.i just can't wait for olive to sit up already!!! it will make her so much more independent and happier i think!
was cecilia and maisie able to get to a sitting position by themselves at 4 months, or could they sit indefinitely if you put them in a sitting position? amazing so early! charlie could stay in a sitting position around 5.5 months, but couldn't get to a sitting position on his own until 7 months (he started crawling at 6 months).

@Mrs. Bee: oh we totally have to put them there and then they'll stay there. I don't think Cecilia could get into the sitting position herself until much much later

We haven't used it yet but we received a blue one from our registry. I was on the fence about getting one but decided to try it anyway. We'll see if he uses it!

We got a red Bebepod w/ watermelon tray from our registry, and then our friends also gave us their hand-me-down lime green Bumbo. I guess we'll have one at Grandma's house?

We never bothered to get one, like @Mrs. Jacks: our pediatrician and my husband's uncle who is a pediatrician don't like them before a baby is sitting up on their own because they are worried about delaying them from sitting up on their own.
Plus I think they are just too expensive for what they do, I'm too cheap to even spend money on them used.

yellow for DD1... Then I sold it. Got a lilac one for DD2 on Craigslist, then sold it too afterwards.

@Mrs. Jacks: Whew, that makes me feel better! We are still working on sitting up longer at 5 mos- if we set him there he will last a little while until he wiggles out of it.
Not quite on topic, I'm sorry, but I'm so excited- We just had a major victory yesterday in rolling over. He refused to roll to his right until yesterday, he is like Zoolander and only goes in one direction. He could roll from back to tummy before rolling to the right from tummy to back. He truly is a stubborn little ape, I've been working so hard with him on this.

I bought a turquoise one at a garage sale for $10. It's the only time I've broken my no buying baby stuff rule.

Purple - I picked it up off the street corner after my neighbors had a yardsale. It's faded and ugly, but I washed it up and made a slipcover for it!

Green, we were Team Green. Used it TWICE b/c she hated it.lol

Pink. I wanted aqua but we got the pink one for free, so i cant complain.
