My daughter's room is currently a light violet color. I wanted something serene when she was a baby. Now I want something brighter like a coral/orange for her room.

Dark grey on top and light grey on bottom with yellow molding dividing them

Navy blue on 2 walls and white on 2 walls. The white walls are exposed brick and I didn't want to paint that. The contrast looks good though.

@Running Elley: I've just been loving coral lately. And it fits her personality more. I like grey too. But most of our living space is a grayish color so I wanted something different for their rooms. Great reading nook by the way!
@MamaJ: that combo sounds really nice. Painting the walls two different colors might be an idea too. Our bedroom has one wall a different color.

It was plum and lavender and now it is green and yellow. So we went from calm to cheery.

Off white, but it is a rental and it was totally renovated before we moved in so everything is still very fresh. Our entire apartment is the same color. However, if it were up to me it would be bright white. I loooove white walls.

Beige walls. Booo... I hate living in a rental.
Her decor is white, pink and chocolate brown.

Beige here, too. It's a rental and although they don't mind if we paint...eh, I can't be bothered. If I was going to do it, I would pick a very light gray.

DS room is light blue, gray and white.
DD room will be light pink, cream with gray furniture and hints of yellow

Light green. We are also in a rental and this is the colour of the whole place. I'm sure they wouldn't mind if we painted, but we couldn't be bothered.

A soft green with an accent wall - these pics are from before he was born. I'm hoping we don't have to paint it for a while!

We are in a rental and the nursery is yellow-- it's a slightly darker yellow than I'd prefer, and we probably could paint if we wanted to, but it's close enough that I don't care. If we were painting it fresh I was thinking of a light turquoise color-- like a much softer Tiffany blue-- but I'm very happy with our yellow, gray and white nursery.
Team green, so our options are somewhat limited anyway.

@MrsTiz: I think I've said this before, but I just love the colors in there. The wood tone of the crib looks so nice against the wall color and the bright green rugs. Love it.

A soft peachy pink - Apricot Fluff (Valspar) to be exact. We just moved and painted her room. Her nursery in our last house was a very soft gray.

@Foodnerd81: thank you! It was DH's crib from when he was a baby and we were too lazy to paint it white..soo brown it is

Her room is a soft taupe that has an almost lilac look. It's Smoked Oyster from Behr.

@MrsTiz: Whoa-- that crib is in REALLY good shape being that old! I like it better brown anyway (maybe because we have a brown crib?)

@Foodnerd81: actually all of the furniture in there minus the glider was DH's. The dresser and nightstand were DH's when he was a little boy, it was a light oak color so he painted it and added legs to it because it was kid size. I guess his mom made him take care of it all lol!

@808love: ah yes, I'm trying to do the same. I want the room to look a little more lively. It fits her personality more.
@lamariniere: @zippylef: @honeybear: @ALV91711: we never bothered painting our rentals as well. It sucked living in stark white walls but it was just too much hassle.
@MrsTiz: your nursery is so cool. Do you find that the dark color makes the room smaller? I was initially afraid to choose a deep color because I was worried it'd make the room small. My daughter has the smallest of all the bedrooms.
@Mrsjets: very cool. That must've been a lot of work.
@swurlygurl: pretty!
@sarbear: pretty combos. Would love to add touches of grey and white but all our furniture is dark wood.
@boiledpnut: love rooms with murals.
@Foodnerd81: yellow was another option but I grew up in a yellow room so I think I'm done with yellow rooms
@lindseykaye: that sounds like a really nice color too!

@fancyfunction: that's similar to our bedroom color actually. I wanted a more grey taupe but ended up with more purple tones. So hard to imagine an entire wall with just a swatch.

@BoogieBea: It did at first, but once we put the decals up it really opened it up. It's a little room but I don't find that it feels smaller now, just cozier.

We're in a rental but we got permission to paint, yay! The nursery is a soft green called Cilantro Cream, but I want to paint again it now that it's LMW's room... I want to do a pale aqua.
Wagon Jr.'s new room is beige and we kept it beige to go with his baseball themed decor.

It is a soft gray, we are team green, so we needed something neutral, and its a pretty dark room so we wanted something to lighten it up. Plus it has some serious color in all the accents, I love bright colors!
pomegranate / 3503 posts
@MrsTiz: oh that's good! I was worried that a more opaque color will make the room look smaller.

DD has light blue walls.
@lamariniere: I love white walls too! We just reprinted most of our house an off-white. DH wouldn't go for bright white.

@BoogieBea: My DD's room has coral touches because, just like your DD, coral seems to fit her personality!
Her room doesn't have a specific color scheme but it's mainly coral, robbin's egg, light gray with a few accent colors here and there.
grapefruit / 4671 posts
Her room is painted grey with lots of coral accents. Coral fits her personality to a tee. My favourite thing about it is that her curtains and coral and white chevron. I'll take some pictures when I get home and upload later.

@banana: pretty combo! My son's room is like a brighter robin's egg color. I don't do themes either. Actually, both their rooms are largely not decorated. I'm just adding things as I find them.

3 dark brown walls and one mint green wall. Here bedding is coral and off white. I choose the colors before knowing that this season's hottest colors were mint and coral...so now I'm a little burned out by the mint!
