Starbucks- I hate their coffee.. Its all about the brand/cool coffee to drink.
Apple-such hype over average products!
Pottery Barn: so expensive/ genertic r stuff you can find cheaper.
What companies do you think are overrated?

Yes to Pottery Barn. I think they're overrated too. I've only bought a crib sheet from them because I wanted an organic gray print sheet and couldn't find it anywhere else. I think it's way overpriced for what you get!

Lululemon--why would I pay that much for pants that will be covered in butt sweat?
pineapple / 12234 posts
@stargal: I second pottery barn we just received a piece of furniture for DD's bedroom and there were two giant cracks in the wood. We paid extra for the quality but it was worse than ikea.

Starbucks - their coffee is meh quality, and usually burned. They also don't take long enough to make espresso shots.
Gap - meh quality.
Pottery Barn - explain to me again why am I paying so much to put together faux wood parts assembled in China?

Agree with pottery barn. Bought a rug there for DS's room and its already falling apart and it's only been 6 months.
pineapple / 12234 posts
@lawbee11: same! I'm usually all for buying high quality clothing but I can't justify buying anything from lululemon!
blogger / wonderful cherry / 21616 posts
@lawbee11: my SIL has boycotted lulu lemon because they don't offer sizes above 12. And it's a workout store.

Is Pottery Barn more, or as, expensive as Restoration Hardware?
I think RH is so insanely over priced! (even if I love their stuff but can't afford it...)
papaya / 10473 posts
@lawbee11: Same! Why spend a fortune on workout clothes?!
Here everyone is obsessed with the burger chain Five Guys.
I think it's not so great and the restaurants always seem super dirty to me.

@stargal: I agree with you completely about Starbucks and Apple!!! Soooo overrated.

My DH would say Apple he thinks they are so overpriced for what he could build himself

I actually think Victoria's Secret is overrated, which is odd, because I buy all my bras there. I'd like to find a higher end bra shop because I feel like my VS bras fall apart way too soon for the price.

@Mrs. Pen: bahaha, seriously! Ironic.
Starbucks- I HATE their coffee but, I do like their other specialty drinks. Granted, they are overpriced.
coconut / 8430 posts
Victoria's Secret! I think their bras are way overpriced (and they also don't fit me well). I do buy undies there when I get them for 7/$25 or so though! I buy most of my bras on sale from Nordstrom or Nordstrom Rack.

@MsLipGloss: I will go with RH.
ALSO, from my Canadian experience with Target, I'm going to say Target is totally over rated. The next time I'm in the states I'll visit one and possibly amend this statement!
pineapple / 12802 posts
@rahlyrah: I know. Honestly you don't know how excited I was for it and it was so insanely disappointing. However, I've heard the Canadian ones do not compare to the American ones which is why I would change my mind possibly, if I went to an American Target! It seriously makes me sad.

I totally agree with Victoria's Secret! I don't like ANY bra I've ever tried on there.
honeydew / 7586 posts
@.twist.: It is probably best that you are disappointed with Target. It is an evil, evil place. You walk in for ONE thing, ONE thing, and then $160 later...
Your bank account is better off!
pineapple / 12802 posts
@rahlyrah: haha, I want to love it so bad. I might need to give it a second chance. When I went, I was honestly wondering if they had 2 sections for women's clothing because the "women's" section was so small...

@grizz: No way!! Five Guys seriously is amazing! At least the ones in my area. Seriously some of the best burgers ever!!
pomegranate / 3759 posts
@.twist.: i imagine Target canada is basically just replacing Zellers. Which is a sad thought
GOLD / wonderful pomegranate / 28905 posts
@MrsBrewer: @grizz: I wouldn't say Five Guys is the best burger ever. But it's pretty good for the price when you want something super greasy and unhealthy! I like Fuddruckers more but they're no longer around me.
I'm not a fan of RH either. I don't see the point of paying $$$$ for stuff that looks old and vintage. Why not just garage sale and fix it up??
pomegranate / 3759 posts
Gap: bland colour clothing WAY overpriced
Sea World: I was never so disappointed in my life. Even the kids around me were disappointed
kiwi / 742 posts
Apple, and I say this having a ton of different Apple products. It's mostly just hype.
coconut / 8854 posts
@regberadaisy: I'm the opposite, we have Fuddruckers still here, and I can't stand them! Yuck! I would pick Five Guys over them, hands down.
pomegranate / 3890 posts
@Lindsay05: totally agree with gap! Very bland and boring. Same with banana republic.... Also wayyyyy over priced. I think there the same company..
GOLD / wonderful pomegranate / 28905 posts
@MrsBrewer: omgodddddddddddddddddddd Jealous!!!
I like their toppings! I think they are less greasy than FG.
My fave burger is my DH's though!
GOLD / watermelon / 14076 posts
@regberadaisy: The melted cheese from Fuddruckers was one of my earliest pregnancy cravings. There is one near our house and I insist that we go there every couple of weeks...now I really want to go there tonight!
GOLD / wonderful pomegranate / 28905 posts
@lawbee11: wahhhh I want Fuddruckers!! The closest one to us is in PA, I think but we're never out that way!
coconut / 8861 posts
@.twist.: You won't think that it's overrated until you've walked into a Walmart. Target and Walmart are night and day. I totally buy into their store brands, etc. Target makes me feel happy when I'm in there, not depressed and sad at Walmart where the lighting is bad, the products are uber-cheap, and employees are sulking.
pineapple / 12802 posts
@cascademom: haha, in Canada they are one in the same. Unfortunately...
ETA: at least where I'm at they are.
