I'm also surprised that there's nothing on this list about Watergate and Nixon erasing those seven (I think 7?) minutes of tape on the Oval Office recording. But maybe that's not as widely known anymore?? Either way, I had friends who were obsessed with that along with the JFK murder.

I don't believe or not believe any of these. 1) I don't have the desire or energy to care that much. 2) I believe God is sovereign over even conspiracies, so I'm going to focus my time one things that are more important.
ETA: They are interesting, I just don't take a stand on them

1. The First Moon Landing was Staged (Possibly true.)
2. Assassination of John F. Kennedy was part of a broader conspiracy (I believe this to be true.)
3. There were Weapons of Mass Destruction in Iraq: (I believe there are WMDs in places we do not know about.)
4. Global Warming is a hoax by the government (I believe this is one of the many glittery distractions the government/media likes to wave in our faces to distract us from the real issues that matter)
5. U.S. Government was involved in the 9/11 Attack (I refuse to believe this is true)
6. There's a Link Between Vaccines and Autism (I do not believe this is true, since it has been debunked countless times and the original study that showed this had serious ulterior motives and funding.)
7. There's a UFO in Roswell (I believe this is true.)
8. Subliminal Advertising is woven into television (I believe this is true.)
9. Bermuda Triangle makes people disappear (I believe that area may cause unusual things to happen.)
10. There's a Secretive World Power Elite (I absolutely believe this to be true.)

@Rainbow Sprinkles: I think people legit disappear there, but whether it's because of some unknown phenomenon or just a lot of bad luck is where I *think* the conspiracy comes into it. However, I might totally be wrong because I have never actually read up on the theories or anything. lol

I believe in the possibility of other dimensions (I really WANT there to be, just for fun) and that there could be (are) intelligent life forms on other planets/in other galaxies/in other universes (universi?). Though, those aren't conspiracy theories.

I always think about it when we fly to islands, though, because you're on these tiny island-hoppers, which jerk around with a tiny little wind shift, and I just sit there going "I am in the Bermuda Triangle right now. This could be it for me." I don't know why I do it to myself every time. And it doesn't help when you get a captain who likes to announce when you've entered it.

@mrbee: I believe in #7, #8, #9, and seriously think the government was involves in #5 (though, I don't think it's as dramatic as the conspiracy theorists think it is).

I do not believe there were WMDs in Iraq. Im firmly in the "captitalism/black gold" camp.
I do not believe there is any link between vaccines and autism. At all.
The rest? I either believe or think its plausible/likely.

Not sure I buy into any on the list, but I don't think I would be FLOORED if they were. I believe conspiracies are real in our govt/world but I don't think I could pick them out. I DO believe what @runsyellowlites: touched on, that pharmacutical companies keep cures off the market because it's more profitable to treat illnesses than to cure them. It makes me sad but I really think this happens in at least some small way.

@erinpye: I agree with this and it scared the sh*t out of me!!! There are a few vaccines I'm still waiting on because I just haven't fully decided on my stance.
I might believe a few of these.. But for the most part I just don't really care haha!

I had no idea people didn't believe dinosaurs existed. Learn something new every day! I'm not big on conspiracy theories but don't spend a lot of time thinking about them.

#10. I kind of think the Illuminati thing could be real. Maybe. haha! That sounds ridiculous but there are some pretty convincing videos out there. I did read somewhere that Whitney Houston was killed to make room for Blue Ivy Carter! It's obviously a brutal circle to be apart of.

@LuLu Mom: I totally agree with all of the things you posted -- except for the subliminal advertising in TV. I work in advertising and have worked on a few TV commercials/campaigns -- never any subliminal messaging added in on anything i've worked on.
What a great thread I missed! I LOVE conspiracy theories - i don't know why - it's just so interesting. the one that I really don't believe in is that we landed on the moon. I mean, come on - we, and only we, went ONCE in the 60s and never went again?????? Something isn't right there.
