We currently have a Combi, but will be getting a Foonf next (if I get my way).
I think I'm always the one that needs multiple voting. lol

Eddie Bauer. I didn't even know they made seats but it is the shortest seat (for small back seats---not narrow, but for a tall front seat passengers to push the seat way back and still fit behind that in a small car).

@Running Elley: or @pastemoo: What is the rf height limit of the eddie bauer? I didn't know they made convertible seats either!

Safety first. Which I don't like!!
@Ree723: ahh, the big base drives me nuts!!

@runsyellowlites: The maximum height limit on the one we have is 52". It's the XRS 65 and we got it at Target!

@HLK208: Really? I didn't notice the base on ours being exceptionally large (we have a Rav4, so not a huge SUV, but not a tiny compact car either). It looked to be about the same size as all of the Britax car seats but we liked that it had the additional air pockets that were removable when LO gets too big.
We also have goofy car seat laws in Australia, babies only have to be rear facing until 6 months, so most convertible seats are used in the forward position here. In the rear facing position, all of our car seats have a stabilising bar and a seat belt tethering, which makes getting a baby in and out of any rear facing convertible seat extremely tricky!

@Running Elley: Oh wow... When I read that I had to check (I hadn't heard of a seat with such a high limit). Seems as though the rf limit is 40" (or top of headrest). I was wondering if it had a lower limit than others with the shorter shell pastemoo described. Seems comparable to the Complete Air & that takes up a lot of space with the angle rf! Go Eddie Bauer!

@runsyellowlites: Lol I just saw that you asked for the RF limit! Duh, sorry! Yes, it's 40 inches

@Ree723: Ooh - we had to forward face early because the big base was really insecure in our car (also a Toyota). I tried everything under the seat when it was rear facing, a rolled towel, a pool noodle but with the big base and angle of the seat, it's more secure facing forward (which I feel so guilty about). A friend of mine has a Britax and used it in my car rear facing last weekend and it fit perfectly - it made me realize how different the base is on the safety first

Britax pavilions... Fits well in our cars (one SUV and one small sedan).

@pastemoo: It's 40" or the top of the headrest in it's highest setting per the manual (since some kids have longer torsos). Most kids outgrow their seats by height before they do weight, I really wish more seats would list their rf limits for easier view... they only list their max & then parents aren't aware of their rf limits! boo that.

@runsyellowlites: Nothing I'm going to worry about. My family is not only short, but late bloomers. I'd be surprised if he outgrew the RF limits in 6 or 7 years old. I mean technically I "can't" sit in the front seat on some days.
