Colored jeans! I love 'em now, but it's totally going to be the thing our kids can't BELIEVE we wore when they're grown up...

Yes - the colored jeans! But I love them and definitely wear them. Also the leggings and tunics. That can only last so long...

Leggings. It'll be a sad day when they aren't in style anymore. They're so comfy!

Another vote for leggings. I was just thinking last night how that was like, the same style I wore when I was a little kid!

Colour blocking, leggins and tunics, ankle boots with skinny jeans, wayfarers---- basically everything that has come back from the 70's and 80's will go out of style again. I wear all of these things.

Patterned and colored jeans. I was shopping with my mom the other day and told her I thought they would be the modern version of the permed hair and teased bangs. Definitely a "what was I thinking" trend.n

haha I was coming to post the colored jeans! everyone beat me to it
definitely leggings, and the hideous 90s style sweaters they're selling at target right now.

@prettylizy: I don't care for the ankle boots with skinnies trend. I still wear my tall boots with skinnies!
I would say skinnies - I was appalled when it became a fad and it took me a few years to jump on but now I LOVE them.
I agree with tunics/leggings - especially the girls who show their booties!! (I will miss the tunic/legging trend!)
Neon.

Colored/patterned jeans and the ankle boots...I can't handle it now, only got away with it last time they were in style because I was 5, won't like it next time they are. LOL...I honestly love how the colored jeans look on other people...I'm just very, uh, vanilla.

Leggings.
Oh, and that weird one-side-of-the-head-shaved hairstyle. Which I know isn't a fashion trend...but it just plain irritates me lol. That will look like the mullet does to us now!

Skinny jeans, for sure. And ombre hair. And hipster anything (especially for guys).

I might be the odd one out, but I feel like leggings and skinny jeans have been around for over a decade now (and obv. were very popular in the 80s/90s as well, so I think they are here to stay in some way shape or form. Same goes for all kinds of boots.
Current trends I love but will probably be very dated:
- Contrast materials & colors on sleeves of jackets and dresses.
- Embellished collars (love!) and embellished shoulder details (also makes me recall the 90s).
- Color-blocking (definitely!)
As always in fashion though, what goes around, comes around! So I say keep pieces you love now, if not for you, but for your daughter!!! I always wish my kept more of her stuff from the 70s.

Uggs. They're ugly already but they're bound to be ugly AND dated.

As much as I hate to say it, all the jewelry everyone wears with their "arm parties" and the big colorful necklaces everyone wears.

I hope it is leggings! And for guys the skinny jeans halfway down their a$$es.

I thought of another one! Dolman tops - I love them because they are post-pregnancy friendly! but I think they are a trendy fad item.
@zippylef: agree.
@shopaholic: there are a few things about those styles that have changed. The "skinny jeans" in the 80s/90s were much looser around the thighs and had a tapered ankle.
Another change is that no one wore boots over them (maybe go-gos hahah!) AND the sock under the boot/over the pants trend... I like that too but I think it will look dated soon.

@shopaholic: I agree. Skinny jeans have been around for awhile now and, along with most other cuts of jeans, won't ever look dated if worn properly!
The one trend that I really love that I think will definitely look dated in a few years is patterned/coloured bottoms.

@sammyfab I agree on the patterned/colored pants. Sometimes I see floral or other crazy prints on denim I have a feeling it's going to be like looking back on "hammer pants" haha. Also, I sure hope those "drop crotch"/harem pants that Justin Bieber wears never catch on!!
