I DIYed a few things for LO 1's 2nd birthday....door decoration, favor bags and banner.
I don't want to DIY anything for LO 2's party....does assembling invites (I bought the files on Etsy) count?

invites count! i'm not a diy person at all. i "designed" and emailed paperless post invites, made grilled cheese sandwiches and fruit salad, BUT we only had 4 guests. banners, favors, etc. are beyond me.

Dol towers, a banner from his 100 day (I made and reused for first bday), chalkboard sign, favor bags (just assembled :P), dol poster, invites, monthly photo setup, etc.
Food was too (but my mom and MIL cooked all of it :P)

I made a monthly photo banner, a welcome/theme banner, two kinds of garland, favors, and decorated water bottles. I made all of the food and the cake with my mom. DH and I also made a slide show and play list, though I don't know if that counts.

Banner, favors bags, cut out a ton of silver glittery stars, all the other decorations. My friend designed the chalkboard and invitations for me.
I made her smash cake and most of the other food.

Banner, invites, food (tons!), photo display, cupcake toppers, bottled water wraps, utensil wrappers... I don't envision doing much DIY for baby #2

I did the monthly photo banner, the tissue pom caterpillar and the thank you notes (invites done via phone calls).
I bought the cake at a bakery and most of the food was either home made or home assembled (thank you Costco).

Yes! ... and as much as I enjoyed making everything, I don't plan to do it again for her 2nd bday. I am going to hold the 2nd bday away from home... maybe a swam group of kids at a local pool or something. I'm going to start the DIY again when she's old enough to care about a theme, maybe age 3 or 4??
If we ever have another LO, I'm not sure if I'd a bunch of DIY projects for his/her first bday... probably, but I'm a little crazy like that!

I'll be DIY for her 2nd pretty much the same things I did for her first:
Food (food and cupcakes/cake)
Banners, streamers and other decorations
Invites
Cupcake toppers
Utensil wrappers
Tons of other stuff
But I like crafting!

I DIYed basically everything for LO's 1st bday and I don't really ever want to again (and I LOVE crafting). It was just too much stress.
I did:
Invites
Banners
50 cupcakes, toppers, and the cake (fondant)
Gift table decor
a framed onesie for guests to sign
a 30 minutes video montage of iphone videos I took during his first year (I learned as I went, so this took a loooong time)
Lots more...
It was just so much effort.....
