Some of my friends took me out for Indian, then to a bar where they knew I'd be carded. In the bathroom someone offered me a line of coke off the back of a toilet (I declined, I'm really weird about putting things up my nose! Plus, eww!). A few days later a friend (who would introduce me to DH 6 months later) took me to see a They Might Be Giants show.

I went on a bar crawl with one of my closest friends - we share a birthday. Plus my boyfriend at the time (now my DH
) came in town to surprise me and join us.

Clubbing with my girlfriends and my friend bought me the best tasting strawberry chiffon layer cake. Either the day after or day before I went out to dinner with my college boyfriend who was a real jerk, my girlfriends went to the same restaurant that night just in case I wanted to leave without him...such sweeties.

Went to Vegas. With my parents, their friends, and sister. I'm not a big drinker or partier, I just had a couple of drinks.

I'm Canadian, so 19 was one thing, but I was living and working in the US for my 21st (and was 21 on the 21st, too!) so had a very fun night out at a bar!
I remember my family sent my flowers and I cried, and the people I worked for treated me to dinner that night too, it was a great bday!

DH (then BF) took me out for dinner where I ordered my first legal cocktail. I had to ask the waiter to card me since he wasn't going to. The next day a few friends and I went bar hopping.

I was a Stoner when I was 21 so I got high... Not proud but that's what I did. This last weekend we went out for my 28th birthday, we threw it down like I was 21 again. I had never been drunk before, just tipsy. well I ended up drunk. If I would have had anymore & I would have been stupid drunk. NEVER EVER AGAIN!

Had my first drink ever! Then went to a bar and tried all kinds of drinks. I probably had 6 drinks over the course of the night and didn't get drunk!
Oh I also picked up a guy. Lol! I smiled at him from across the bar for hours before he got up the nerve to come over! And no, it wasn't Wagon Sr.. Hehe

DH, my mom, my aunt, my BFF, and I all went up to Mackinac Island and the Upper Penisula of Michigan. We spent my birthday on Mackinac Island it was awesome. I didn't drink at all.

My family planned a trip to Florida and so I spent the week getting embarrassingly drunk with my friend while staying in a condo with my parents. Awesome, right? I can't even believe how out of control we were, in retrospect. And now I finally understand why my mom was concerned - lol!

Flew to Vegas with a close friend, stayed at a suite in the Venetian (one of the new hotels at the time), gambled, drank, and had a blast!

I was in Paris studying abroad, and of course there 21 is no big deal at all. Luckily I had really nice French friends who understood that it was an important birthday for Americans, and they threw me a big party (with lots of drinks) in my apartment! It was a lot of fun.

i went out & got drunk, but honestly at that point drinking wasn't nearly as much fun anymore.

Got ignored by my friends who were all boy crazy on Valentine's Day. A roommate, out of 5, got me ice cream and then we went to the college bar and drank.

We went to dinner and I ordered a margarita. Nothing too crazy.

(was only last month...) I left Lo with my mum for a few hours and went out with my husband and closest friends for a cocktail night, I didn't last out too long because I missed Lo too much and wanted to go home!

We went out for Mexican and I ordered my first margarita. The next day my mom and DH threw me a surprise party. I played beer pong with my mom and stepdad! It was really fun.

We had a party at my apartment because I was the oldest in my group of friends. As I recall I passed out on the couch and the cops came and told us to simmer down, lol.

The night before my b-day I had to work, when I came out to my car my DH and BFF were in my car and filled it to the brim with balloons!! it was an amazing surprise and so special!!
We hung out at my apt until midnight, and went to B-dubs for drinks... what I didn't know is that in MN you're not allowed to drink until business day of your birthday... boo hoo. So we just order apps and ate...
The next day was Sunday, so we went to lunch at Olive Garden and I had a glass of wine but there was no getting drunk or anything... anyway I was a responsible married woman hahah.
