I got mine cleaned and it's at my parents' house, but I think I should just sell it. I can't imagine saving it for 30 years and then Olive probably wouldn't even want to wear it anyway!
What did you do with your dress?

Tried to sell it on WB, no bites. It hung in our guest room closet for 1.5 years, I recently just moved it to our closet. .... :T

It's still in its bag, hanging from tr rafters in our laundry with its original dirt. Maybe someday I will wash it.

I have only been married 2 months but I am going to keep it! It is the most beautiful pink dress and I adored it. I doubt my future kids will wear it, but I like to stare at it lol.

I trashed it in the ocean. No kidding. But I guess it was more like washed it in the ocean and got pounds of sand in it for a TTD session (which I never got around to posting on WB~ opps)
Now it's at my parents house, still filled with sand. I am surprised it didn't mold since I am pretty sure it was still damp when we brought it home from Cancun.

In the bag hanging in my closet, I never got it cleaned. It was the only thing from the wedding that I loved so I haven't been able to part with it.

I want to sell it or keep it.... since I can't decide, it is still in my closet.
@lovebird: cool!

Got it cleaned and sold it on preownedweddingdresses.com! The box was gigantic and taking up prime closet space in my teeny apt.

I have mine, uncleaned in my closet.
I love just looking at it too and I WILL fit into it again.
We are going to have vow renewals sometime, and if I can I would totally rewear my dress!!
Someone on WB asked me if they could buy it and I just couldn't bring myself to do it.

Hanging in the closet in my old room at my parents' house, unwashed, in the garment bag. It's next to my sister's, in the same condition, who got married a year before me.

I got such a great deal on my dress, and loved it so much, that I'm keeping it:) The original price was over $6K, as it was a Vera Wang tulle mermaid, but I bought it used on preownedweddingdresses for $1400. So for that price, I'm just going to keep it to show my daughter:) If I would have paid $6K for it- I'd be selling it!!!!

Mine got a little dirty actually, it got a lot dirty by the end of the night! It was cleaned, preserved & boxed while I was away in my honeymoon. I still wonder if it's really clean in that box! It's at my parents' house.

Hanging dirty in my closet. My MIL is having a christening gown made for my LO from her wedding dress. I would love to do something similar for my own grandchildren some day.

i said this in the other dress thread, but my dress was cotton and non-traditional, so i'd really love to get it cut knee-length and wear it for special occasions in the summer. maybe anniversary dinners? it's been two years and i still haven't done it, but.. one day!

I got married a year ago and mine is still hanging uncleaned in my office closet!

It's hanging in the guest room closet. It's still dirty. I love it too much to get rid of it.

Dirty, hanging in my son's closet!
I wasn't SUPER in love with my dress to begin with, but for some reason I can't bring myself to get rid of it. Or maybe I'm too lazy to get it cleaned and actually try to sell it.
I saw a really cute idea though to take pictures of your daughter in your dress when she is little, so I might keep it for that.

Mine are cleaned, preserved, boxed and in my closet hoping that my future children would want to incorporate it somehow into their weddings, even if just a piece of them.
My first dress has enough tulle in it to make a small veil, so hopefully it could be made into one for my future children's wedding:
The reception dress has a long train of taffeta that can be used again:

Mine is still dirty in the garment bag in the spare closet. I would like to clean it to have it preserved in case my daughter might want to wear it. I think it's timeless enough that it may be possible! But I guess that's wishful thinking:)

@Rosie Girl: Ah, I saw that on pinterest once, too! Another reason to hang onto it!

@Rosie Girl: aw cute!!! I think I'll do that too.
I still have it, it's cleaned and in my closet. I think it's too big now (got married 4 years ago) I did try to sell it last year, no bites. Maybe I should try it again... I could get 500$ for it.

@Rosie Girl: what a great idea for a photo shoot with your daughter in your wedding dress! If I have a daughter (#2?) I will try to remember to do this.

Mine is still dirty (red wine stain and all, thank you mysterious wedding guest) hanging out at my parents house. My plan is for my mom to make christening gowns for my kids out of it. I figured it would be cheaper to get the pieces of fabric cleaned as I need them rather than the whole thing at once.

Cleaned and preserved in a box. Not sure what I will end up doing with it...

Mine is still dirty, hanging in a closet at my parents' house. It has a chiffon overlay that got snagged and I doubt it can be easily repaired, so I have held off on doing anything with it. If it hadn't gotten snagged I probably would have cleaned it and sold it.

cleaned and donated to brides against breast cancer about six months after the wedding! I loved it but it was not practical to keep around and hopefully someone else got to enjoy it too!

uncleaned & hanging in the closet. I was actually just thinking about what to do with it this morning. I think I'm going to donate it.
