We took the twins to a playdate with two other sets of twins and then had a seafood dinner at home (thank you Costco).

We were all so, so sick. I think we are just happy that we survived the weekend. Valentines can always come next year and L is still too young to have really missed it.

We were in California visiting family. We went to a party for my grandparents in laws 50th anniversary. After that we spend the afternoon/sunset at the beach in Carlsbad. It was so pretty, it was Ts last first holiday. Her first holiday last year was St Patrick's day.

We celebrated my birthday with my parents. My mom made lasagna and brought a cake. They also brought a ton of toys for DS #1, so our family room is now packed with toys.

Nada! I hope we can have a redo. We were having a rough week, I guess you could say. (DH worked all day and I was exhausted and we had a crazier day coming Monday but we survived.)

LO had the flu and a double ear infection and we were running around trying to get prescriptions and whatnot. We ate take out: me, while nursing our newborn, DH while trying to care for whiny DS. Super romantic

I was sick (thanks, non-stop parade of daycare microbes) so we stayed home, but DH got me some gorgeous roses and he cooked me a really nice dinner. Surf & turf (well just surf for me, but the steak looked really good) and roasted veggies and compound chimichurri butter, and he made chocolate-covered strawberries. And a fantastic Malbec. And Netflix.

As a special treat I took the kids to the book store. They love new books as much as I do so it is always a treat for all of us. I let each of them get a fancy adult Harry Potter coloring book and a reading book.
When we came back my husband and I took turns coloring with the kids and watching Harry Potter and painting our bathroom (I have hated the color since we moved in 5 years ago). Then we made heart shaped make your own pizzas. When the kids went to bed we finished painting the bathroom then sat down and watched some x-files reruns.

My husband worked until 6 so he picked up Chinese take out on the way home. I just hung out with the kids at home and we read a lot, played in the backyard and did some crafts.

My husband spent all day in the basement moving space heaters around to thaw our frozen heating pipes. I was crabby.
Luckily, we are in it for the marathon, so ending the day by watching catastrophe and chatting in bed was enough to set us straight again. Maybe we will go out this weekend.

@PawPrints: Uh, yum!!
We took DS out to dinner on Friday night. We were going to do drinks at this upscale bar and then dinner across the street at a seafood place but there ended up being a 2 hour wait annnnnnnd we couldn't do that with an infant so we ate at the bar.

We went out the day before (Saturday), so Sunday we stayed home with our kids. DH picked up sushi to go from a Japanese restaurant, so that was our dinner.

We went to Mass and then my parents, brother and sister joined us for a brunch for my birthday. We just did pizza and a Disney movie that night as a family since DH and I had gone out to dinner and the local chamber orchestra the night before.

Nothing. We were at my parent's house. Woke up later than normal. My 3 year old was a pill. We didn't leave the house.

Nothing out of the ordinary from our regular Sunday routine! Laid in bed with DS till i felt like getting up. Had breakfast and lounged around the house till lunch time. Ran a couple errands with my parents, had lunch, napped, then had dinner.

We went to my parents' for breakfast and then failed at getting DS1 to take a nap. Then DS1 and I baked a cake. We made it orange b/c that's his favorite color for now. Then I made dinner which consisted of Beef Wellington, roasted potatoes and a spinach salad with pot du creme for dessert. It was supposed to me a romantic dinner for DH and I on Saturday night but our plans changed. We ate as a family instead. DS1 was not impressed.

Went to a Valentine's Dinner with about 40 other couples (banquet style). There was a dinner show, icebreakers and we won a contest (for our table) for 'best' proposal story.

My mom took DD for a rare overnight. We walked around downtown and thrifted some stuff for the house. Then came home and grilled, on our deck. DH made a wonderful brunch, in the morning. Mellow but needed!
