I can't remember!!! The year before last his birthday was a Saturday. I made him a nice dinner Fri night then we went out to lunch at a fancy restaurant the next day and went for a walk at the park where we had our "first look" on our wedding day. We're not good at gifts so we try to do special dates if possible!

Well.... DH's birthday falls in the same week as our anniversary and Father's Day each year. We also had just bought a house and I knew he really wanted a new TV, so I suggested he pick out the TV he wanted for all 3 special occasions. But, every year I fix his favorite meal and for a "happy" this year I got him some Whisky Rocks.

I planned a HUGE birthday party for him since he was turning 30, and that was my gift to him since the party was $$$. It was a Casino theme - I rented 2 blackjack tables, a roulette table, and a poker table with dealers and had food catered in with a special cake. I think I invited over 100 of his friends!

There was cake...but I can't remember what the gift was.

I'm thinking a couple of t-shirts and some tools he wants. I'm not as creative as I once was with birthdays.

@runnerd: His bday was 2 days before we closed and then mine was 4 days later so this year we got the same gift.

Edit: just remembered I did get him running sunglasses on top of the house. Best wife ever over here!

I got mine a Kindle Fire HD.

Last year I gave him the baby as an early birthday present (LO was born 3 weeks before). And a new pair of pants. And something else I think, but TBH the latter half of last year is a blur.

Thank you for reminding me that his birthday is soon! I've been focused on E's birthday that DH's was just...not remembered, lol. I ordered him a Beatles coffee mug (sort of a tradition) and I don't know what else yet.

An atomic watch. He asked for it and is still nerding out over it.

I bought him a game. He's planning on getting a new tattoo and that is a part of his gift as well.

Mine's got a birthday this week. He is getting new leather belt for work, a thermos for coffee to take to the office each morning, a JCrew shirt and a Goorin Brothers hat. I'm mostly excited about his 30th birthday party at the minor league ball park. He's throwing the first pitch, gets his name in lights, and has the whole stadium sing to him! All of our group gets souvenir ball caps, brats, beer and cupcakes.

I did 12 international/themed dinner night for him. I still haven't finished cooking all of them yet and it had been months. Oops
