We already had E's birthday party last weekend so I wanted his actual birthday day to be special too. This morning we had his favorite (pancakes) for breakfast, I took him to the park and after naptime we took a picnic lunch to the zoo. We have a membership so we go there fairly often. It was a no pressure thing and I just let him run around and look at whatever he wanted. We had a blast! Tonight the grandparents are coming over for ice cream sundaes

DH had to work and had the car so we were pretty constrained, but I made him banana pancakes, we went to the playground, and then my IL's came over during his afternoon nap. They hung out for a while until DH got off work (he got off early) and we all went out to dinner, came back to our apartment and had cake/cupcakes.

Tor had his actual birthday on a Saturday this year and it will be on a Sunday next year but I think for his third birthday we will probably take him to a museum or kids show and give him his favorite foods.

This year, Chloe's birthday falls on a school field trip! My husband took a half day at work and will be joining us at the pumpkin patch. That evening, we will take Chloe to dinner & let her open presents from us. She keeps talking about cake, so we will bake a cake together too!

I have no idea what we did on her 1st birthday. 
On her 2nd I cooked breakfast and we went to the aquarium, then out for lunch.

Made him pancakes for breakfast with a few chocolate chips as a treat, then we went to the zoo and had frozen yogurt later on. It was a nice family day with just the three of us!

I had to work so I made sure to do something special afterwards. We went to the park and rode swings which he's never done before (he's only 8 1/2 months adjusted).

I made blueberry french toast (her favorite) for breakfast after hitting up the doctor (she had a killer diaper rash) and after nap we went to the pumpkin patch and had lunch there! It was nice and relaxing and a new tradition! We plan on celebrating her birthday there every year!

We went to McDonald's for breakfast (he had a fruit/yogurt parfait and a muffin) and then we played in the play land. We came home and spent the afternoon napping/playing in the yard and then went to the IL's for dinner.

M's first birthday fell on a Sunday so we had her party on the actual day. If it hadn't, I think her real birthday would have been a nice, relaxed, family day much like yours

We had just a small family party (party being dinner for the 3 adults and a piece of cake for LO!) and opened a few presents. Her actual party was the following weekend.
