But I've also talked to several friends about it to see what they think...especially ones who have had 2-3 kids in the past few years. The best advice I have gotten is not to overpack. I think the HB guide is a really good basic guide. I got some hanes white shirts that I can just throw away when I get out, some black loose capris, a black sleep tee, some cheap hanes panties to throw away later because everyone says hospital ones are awful...i'll bring an open sweater, tolietries, slippers, boppy and that's about it. a friend did give me good advice to go get a hot/cold pack from the drugstore before hand also.

@shimmer Ditto...we are only about 5 minutes (barely) from hospital so I am not too worried. I am sure people who live farther away have to worry about it a lot more. I guess it also depends what you bring if you have a c or vaginal delivery. I just figure less is more! I was all worried about what to bring for baby-to dress in and stuff and one of my friends was just like, "Who cares, we used everything the hospital gave us." and it settled me down a lot.

I also semi-overpacked, but for us, the most important things were a pair of flip flops (for showers) and to walk around in! Also, something comfy to wear postpartum and my boppy pillow has come in handy, plus my nursing tank top! Toiletries are a must as well but you can keep it simple to just the necessities like toothbrush and toothpaste. That's about all we really "needed." Everything else was for "fun", like my computer here so I could be typing away at the hospital like this and checking HelloBee of course! =P Oh, phone and camera chargers? =P
