I was very impressed. I haven't read the books (am interested in doing so now) so I can't comment on how good of an adaptation the show is.

I read a couple of the books years ago, and totally forgot about the show! I'll have to watch when I get a chance.

I really loved it. It stayed true to the books and I think it set the stage for the rest of the series. I didn't love the voiceover aspect but I understand why they are using it. I'm hoping they rely less on it as the series goes on.
I also think the casting was spot on.

omg I just started reading the books I had no idea they made it into a tv-show! I love the books so far, I started the second one this week and I look forward to reading it every night!

Woo hoo! The episode we've been waiting for lol! I'm loving the show. I do feel like the depiction of Dougal is very different than in the book but I get that they have to make certain changes to keep things moving. Casting for Jamie and Claire is perfect!

So my sister got me to watch the first Outlander episode and now I'm hooked! Can't believe we have to wait til April.
Though, now to kill time, I'm now reading the books!
