I wanted to be a writer, I turned out to be a nurse. My DH wanted to be a hockey player, but at 5'4" that just wasn't gonna happen. He's an HR consultant.

When I was a very young child I wanted to be an artist. I'm now a graphic designer, so I guess I got pretty close!

I didn't think much about it until I got to early high school age, and then I wanted to be a vet or a teacher. I ended up becoming an accountant.

I wanted to be a teacher. I ended up being a lawyer (now SAHM)

I'm not sure what my husband wanted to be. I know he wanted to go to MIT when he was little...he ended up going to Duke

I always knew I wanted to be a SAHM since that's what my mom was. In the mean time, I wanted to be a teacher or journalist/writer. I was a substitute teacher before I became a SAHM yay for dreams coming true!

The husband wanted to be an architect or something with engineering, but is on his way to being a grocery store manager. (He unintentionally fell in love with his job to the point of dropping out of college to focus on moving up). As long as he's happy (: Happy spouse, happy house (: hehe

I wanted to be a Pediatrician but ended up an Environmental Analyst

My DH wanted to join the Navy and he did!

I wanted to be a history teacher or politician'politician's wife. I became a sales rep married to a bank examiner.

I wanted to be a lawyer. Now I'm a medical social worker but going back to school to be a clinical dietician.

Me:
- Wanted: Pediatrician
- Now: Operational and IT Auditor

SO:
- Wanted: Pharmacist
- Now: Self-employed (donut shop owner)

I wanted to be a SAHM and a firefighter. I'm a SAHM now.

A vet - but science? Yeah, not my thing. I work in the broadcast/IT field.

I wanted to be a pediatric nurse. Then in high school I job shadowed a nurse and almost passed out. So yeah. I'm in finance now. But after high school I really wanted to be in the FBI. Maybe someday I could become a forensic accountant...

Neither of us had just one career in mind. It changed often.

I wanted to be:
- A Naturalist
- A Dentist
- An Olympic Dressage Rider (and then a riding teacher)
- A Travel Writer
- A Midwife

I am now an Aid Worker/Doula/Freelance Writer.

In the future I want to explore being:
- A Photographer
- A Professional Blogger
- A College Professor
- A Midwife

DH wanted to be:
- A Doctor
- A Pilot
- A Teacher
- An Anthropologist
- A Linguist

He is now an Aid Worker/ESL Teacher/Painter at a concrete plant.

In the future he wants to explore being:
- An Anthropologist
- A Linguist
- A College Professor

I wanted to be an author. I'm a software engineer.

Hubs wanted to make video games. He's a software engineer. So close!

My sister wanted to be a nun that sold hotdogs. She's a nurse.

I wanted to be an animater for Pixar. I'm a graphic designer.
My husband wanted to be an engineer, and he is.

I wanted to be a firefighter, then a veterinarian, then an astronaut. I became a teacher.

Wanted to be a teacher, I am a CPA

I wanted to be an actress. Went to school for it initially, but fell out of love with it. I was a union organizer at Harvard and now I'm a SAHM. Not sure what's next... In the future (near or far) I'd like to be a social worker, psychologist or librarian.

I wanted to be a forest ranger, and now I'm a lawyer. DH wanted to be a baseball player and is now a cop.

I wanted to be an ice skating doctor (maybe sports medicine is the grown up version). I work with food.
