PS for my son's baptism I wore a boring white button-up blouse and black skirt with pink scarf. It was a total afterthought

I wore a maroon dress. I bought it for the Baptism but wore it for Christmas last year (and will probably wear it for Christmas this year, too).

Ours was in December so I wore a black cowl neck sweater dress with tights and boots. I think it looked nice, but I was about to burn up in the church!

@mamimami: I bought a dress from davids bridal it was a knee length dress that was in the "mother of the bride" section but was actually really nice and modern with a bolero jacket. They also have nice dresses on sale all the time

I don't have a pic but I wore a dress with a large floral print that I found at Lord & Taylor - they have a lot of dresses if there is one near you.
