@PurpleUnicorn: Oh, this is an interesting question! I assumed most people wear a hospital gown, no?

A hospital gown, that's it! It gets so messy, and they change you soon after birth so it wasn't worth it to get my own clothes dirty.

I wore my own nightgown until the did my epidural and then I wore a hospital gown.

When we got into our room, first thing they had me do was get everything off and into hospital gown only.....which was awesome! Didn't want/need anything else!

Just a hospital gown with nothing underneath.

coobie & johnnie. I still did skin to skin, we unhooked the straps and dragged it down to my belly. I had an extremely quick L&D so I wasn't all sweaty or anything

As soon as I got there and admitted they asked me to get in my skivvies and into the hospital gown. It was pretty much the most unflattering thing ever, but guess what? While your body is literally working against you, you do.not.care.

I've seen some "cute" hospital gowns on etsy but I don't know how they work with the monitors and what not if you're interested in how you look. The nurses never asked me if there was anything else I wanted to wear (but we also don't live in an area that's too fashionable LOL)

I hate hospital gowns because they are so HUGE on me. I want to buy one of those pretty pusher gowns, but I feel like I would just get labeled "high maintenance" if I did!

I wore a hospital gown (ones with buttons in front) and a sports bra. I should have taken off the sports bra. I had to hike it up to get LO to latch, I was induced and was connected to the machine and couldn't take it off since I was still hooked up. LO was on me (for awhile) before her cord was cut, she did the breast crawl.

A hospital gown but I don't remember if I had a bra on underneath...maybe.

I wore a yoga nursing bra. DS wasn't well when he was born so we didn't get skin to skin but it wouldn't have been an issue, the bra was super light and stretchy.
I did have a hospital gown to begun with but it ended up being bunched up around my neck and face when i was pushing so I took it off.

Hospital gown only (spent a lot of labour in the shower with nothing on) and then just opened it up and pulled it down for skin to skin and they put nice warmed-up blankets on me.

I bought a nice nightgown two sizes bigger than I needed and buttons down the front for skin to skin. It was sleeveless and I loved it. It got pretty messy but it all washed off at home and now I can wear it all the time

I wore the hospital gown & sports bra underneath. I hated the gown - it was HUGE even with my pregnant belly. I was so uncomfortable in it that I took it off after a while (I also wanted to get in the shower) & was in just the bra. If I have another child, I'm asking for a child-sized gown or buying my own!

I wore a nightgown for a long time. I really cared about what I was wearing, so if you think you will, ignore all the people who'll tell you you won't. I eventually took it off when I was in and out of the bath and such. It never got any kind of messy.

I was totally positive that I would not be naked no way not at all. Surprise, when I started pushing, I just HAD to take my gown off. No idea why. I can't really stand the thought of being naked in a room with people coming in and out, but that's exactly what I wanted in the moment.

I didn't remember so I asked DH and he said is was the hospital gown. I also wore a terry cloth beach cover up thing for part of labor. I think if I had delivered in the birth center as planned I would have been wearing that.
