A sleep nursing bra (so comfy) and actually DH said I was wearing 2 hospital gowns (one facing each direction). I don't remember that. I do remember getting skin to skin right after DD was born so at some point the gowns must have come off and the bra was pushed over so we could try and latch her.

I had a clip down nursing bra (soft cup style) and a hospital gown. I hate going braless, I need some support.

I had a tank top on under a hospital gown. I was freezing after the tub so wanted an extra layer and then things progressed so quickly I had no time to take it off. When LO was born, I just pulled my tank top up for skin to skin.

@babyjmama: lol, i wasn't really asking for fashion purposes. I imagine I won't care at all how I look while delivering - I was more wondering about what to pack in my hospital bag and also for comfort reasons what people typically wore. Looks like I will stick to the hospital gown.

@sarac: interesting, i don't like the idea of being naked either! so that's why i figure i will wear the hospital gown. I am also packing a nightie, sports bra and loose tank tops, so who knows what i will feel like in the moment!

@PurpleUnicorn: Yeah, basically I'd say figure out what you think you'll want, and then have a backup in case you change your mind. I specifically had it in my birth plan that I wanted as few people in the room as possible, so that made me feel comfortable while I was naked. I also assumed that if I had a waterbirth, I'd want to be naked. I brought a cheap suit just in case, though. I hated wearing that hospital gown while I still had my head on straight.
