With Charlie I worried about SIDS so much that I couldn't sleep! I was so anxious, especially when he started sleeping on his tummy.
That first time mom anxiety was gone by the time we had Olive. I worried most about her developmental delays.

Eating. He is a tiny little thing, and still obsessed with his milk/bottles. Wish he would just gobble up solids with as much gusto as milk! I feel like I spend all day chasing him around with food.

Eating her first year. Her refusing to eat at all when awake before we got her MSPI diagnosis was really traumatizing to me. We were on orders to take her to the ER for hydration if she went 5 hours without a wet diaper because she wasn't taking in enough and she was so little I just felt like every day was this huge mountain to climb making sure she would get enough to eat that we wouldn't have to take her to the hospital. Even once she started eating a bit better I would get really freaked out if she had a bad day eating, thinking we were backsliding back into food refusal.

DD I worried about everything! SIDS, all her feedings, and then her delays. Still worried about those.
DS my biggest worry is now leaving him with a care taker during the day. I have been home during the day with both since birth, but now looking into switching jobs.

We were taken aback by how small my LOs were (they were estimated 2 lbs larger) so weight gain was my biggest worry right off the bat. By 4 months, though, they had made it onto the growth charts and kept gaining well from there on out, but I just couldn't get over the early issues and my guilt over not feeding them enough (I was breastfeeding + supplementing but I don't think I was supplementing them enough). Their sleep is crazy, but I attribute that to food issues too, whether right or wrong. I continue to nurse them on demand all night long if needed because I can't deny them "food" (even though I think nursing is mostly for comfort now). Basically, food intake continues to be the biggest thing that I worry about at 16 months.
@pinkb: I have a lot of anxiety about leaving my twins, too. They've never been away from me for more than a couple hours since they were 9 weeks old (when we went to a wedding overnight away from them). Just the other day DH took one of them out by himself and that's the first time he's ever done that in 16 months. And I freaked out a little over it!

Her constant spitting/weight gain, which turned out to be MSPI. I then obsessed over everything I ate that caused a flare up. Now, at 17 months, I worry less. It is a nice change!

She's still little (almost 6 months) so I pretty much worry about everything. Mostly weight gain/reflux/feeding and sleep. But not really sleep anymore since we sleep trained.

It's always been sleep for us. Thankfully she's been healthy and a good eater, so I realize that in many ways i am lucky to only have to worry about sleep, but it's really challenging. She's way better now but the early days were rough.

DD1 I worried constantly about SIDS and occasionally at first about coming home to find the nanny had run away with her.
DD2 was hospitalized at two months with suspected meningitis, and after that I obsessed about germs for some time...these days I just worry about what she's going to climb and fall off of today, because she's a maniac!

For us it was weight gain/reflux too. I've mostly relaxed on that at age 3, but not totally...he's still really little. I was def paranoid about SIDS for awhile and I'd check his breathing constantly at night when he was in the room next to me, but that mostly went away after a couple of months. Since he was a micropreemie I also worried a lot about him getting sick during the first two years.

I worried A LOT about SIDS with N as an infant. Now I worry about his speech delay and eating issues.
With E I still worried a lot about SIDS. I still worry about him getting sick at 18 months. When he was born he blew a big hole in his lung. So I worry about URI with him.

Hmm. Not much! After dd1 turned 1, it was her weight. She's always been really skinny.
With dd2 it was just her general health because she was colicky and I was always worried she was in pain.

SIDS. LO has been a good sleeper from the start, only waking once or twice for food; but the first few sporadic times he slept through the night I woke up a little panicky during the night even without any cue from him. I had to go stand over his crib to make sure he was okay. And now, at 5 months, he isn't sleeping through the night because of teething, but the side and stomach sleeping he is intent on freak me out a little.

SIDS, for sure. I don't think I would have worried as much since it's so rare, but a friend of mine lost his 2-month-old that way. Too close to home...
I didn't really worry about anything else until he became a toddler. Now I worry about heights, swimming pools, and creepy people.

I tend not to worry too much about LO because she has been healthy and developing normally, but feeding has been the hardest thing and I do get a touch nervous when she doesn't seem hungry when I expect her to be. She also had a cough for about a month (with a lot of resultant vomiting) so I was particularly worried about her eating enough then. She's become a chunky baby though so I don't think about it much anymore!
I will of course say that SIDS is very worry inducing for many, for good reason, but I knew we were "following the rules" in this regard so I didn't let that get to me.

LO1: all about sleep and lack of it! In retrospect I see she was just a high maintenance baby with low sleep needs but as a FTM I was so worried about her not being "by the book".
LO2: this time our issues have all been feeding and weight gain related, but I think they are finally working themselves out....

Eating. He had zero interest in eating the first 2 weeks, and we almost wound up in the hospital due to dehydration, so I was on edge for a long time about it after that.

Choking. He had reflux issues and was constantly throwing up or spitting up. I was worried with him being on his back he would choke. Plus, when he coughs it sounds like he's choking. He got that from me, but it's so hard not to go running when you hear it.

At first, it was reflux. Then he was diagnosed with ASD at 9mo, so that's been at the forefront of the worries - will it close? (no), will he need surgery? (yes), will he need open heart surgery? (probably not)... Surgery is scheduled for November and I can't wait for this all to be over!

With DD I was very, very anxious about SIDS. I'm pregnant now with LO2 and it'll be interesting to see if that changes!

DD1 a mixture of SIDS & her medical issues. (she threw up EVRYTHING she ate which caused weight loss)
DD2 I worry less, at first it was eating and getting her to take a bottle, now she's a pro but is showing no interest in food yet. No grabbing, ect. so I'm worried she won't be a very good eater.
