DD wore a pretty sweater/pants set which was part of her everyday wear. When it came time for cake, I took off her shirt and just had her wear her 1st Birthday bib as it covered everything and made for easy clean-up; although she didn't get too crazy with the icing insisting on using a spoon to eat.

My mil bought her a pretty dress for her naming that she never wore so she wore that. If she didn't already have that I would have gone out and bought something for her.

She wore pants and a top but it had some ruffles on it. She was comfortable so that was nice!

@shopaholic: Thanks, it was actually one of her gifts (the tutu, beads and purse) and she wanted to wear it right away.
