LO's 1st birthday is coming up and I need some fashion inspiration! What did your LO wear to his/her first birthday party? Normal clothes? Party clothes? Did you get something special made? We are having about 25 people, no theme, just pink, peach, yellow decorations and lots of yummy food.

I didn't want to waste money on an outfit that LO would only wear once so he wore regular everyday clothes that looked kind of nicer (polo shirt and regular khaki pants).

I couldn't resist getting her an awesome over the top dress...that we got on sale

She wore a dress one of her godmother's had given her with a hairclip I bought previously. I also made her a tutu for cake smash pictures.

She wore a cute little Mini Boden dress. And she wore it throughout the summer.

My LO is going to wear a casual sun dress with balloons on it. I found it at Ross and I am in love.
Er - I just realized that might not have been the best choice for a Feb birthday. Oh well, it's freaking adorable and I matched the party decor to it. There's no going back now.

She wore a shark costume. Her birthday was the weekend before Halloween, so we went to Boo at the Zoo to celebrate!

I had a onesie and hat made for her and she wore a big pink pettiskirt with it.

She wore a white smocked dress. She also wore it for her baptism so it got double duty : )

We just bought R a "First birthday" onesie from Carter's on clearance for her cake eating. It's long sleeved and she was born in June but it will just be for cake. I want to get her a nice outfit to wear for her party.

We ordered this tutu outfit off Etsy, with the bloomer underneath. (vintage circus theme b-day party)
PS We dedicated her in church the same day and she wore the white dress (with a bonnet) for that. Wardrobe change!

D wore a onesie that I got on Etsy. His party was a superhero-themed party. You can't really see it in this picture, but it also had a cape attached.

I bought this dress for M while I was pregnant (we called her our little strawberry), and we're most likely doing a strawberry theme for her first birthday so she'll wear it at the party!

Sadie will be wearing a customized onesie (because that's what we do around here!), a tutu skirt, and a pair of chuck's.
This is an example of one of the seller's other 1st birthday onesies--Sadie's will be pink & red with a ladybug...

He wore a onesie with an embroidered tie. It was a baby shower gift from a friend. It was fitting for his birthday party.
