Bumping this! I'm due early November and am up in MN so I'm also curious!

A bundle me (ours was jj cole I think)? And maybe a north face bunting suit for when she's not in the car seat? Otherwise, a lot of sleepers!!

Ooh, I have the same question (also in Seattle). I'm mainly wondering about nighttime -- what types of clothes do you swaddle over in the winter to keep the baby cozy enough? We usually keep the house pretty cool at night (63-64) but I'm guessing we should keep it a bit warmer once LO is here?

@Rainbow Sprinkles: Mine came last November in Seattle, and they lived in fuzzy footed clothes (not necessarily PJs, though- I felt better about myself if they were dressed, too). Footed pants with long sleeve onesies and hoodies were a staple in our house, even from the beginning. I covered them up with knitted blankets when we went out, and they seemed fine. We would go out in the rain, too- blanket covering them up to their chests and the sunshade to cover their faces, and they never got wet.
@PurplePeony: We had them in jammies (terry cloth, usually) and Swaddle Mes. We ended up having to turn the heat up, because we didn't feel like we could bundle them well enough, plus we were up enough in the middle of the night that we wanted it warm, too. That heat bill sucked, though.

LO was born early November and we're in Toronto so it got very cold. We had a couple of snowsuits and long sleeved sleepers. One thing that was very useful was a cover for the Ergo. We got a Jolly Jumper one and it was fabulous, really helped keep the wind and cold off when we wore her.

@HLK208: I don't think we weigh in on those as far as I know. I preferred not to use them because I need a visual on the baby Chest rise and fall is key to eliminating my freak-outs!

We're in Portland too, and my daughter was born in September. She wore sleepers or onesies with footed pants for her first winter. When we'd go out, I'd put a warm suit on her. I babywore her, so I never needed a bundleme or anything. If she'd been in a stroller that winter, I probably would have had one. But depending on how much you plan to use a stroller, you may not need anything more than just a warm over suit.

As an aside, my daughter's warm suit was a skunk suit, which never failed to delight me.

X was born in early November in Seattle. As a newborn, he wore warm fleece pajamas when we were out on cooler days, and when we were outside for over 15 minutes or especially cold days, we had a super thick fleece 3mo size bunting from REI. Even though it doesn't get that cold that often, I have still found good quality, warm buntings to be good investments-- both when he was a newborn, and for his 2nd winter, when he was a 1yr old. It made getting outside easier bc I didn't worry about him being cold.

If you're only going to be going to and from the car, we were fine with just adding hat and fleece blanket. (Fleece seemed to give the most warmth for the least amount of bulk to carry around.) Sometimes we even just wrapped a blanket around and tucked into the Beco when we wore him at the grocery store.

We're pretty minimalist, but I really you don't think you need more than that for keeping baby warm around here, especially if you baby wear. That will keep the baby (and you!) pretty warm anyway.

OH! And I second what @Sandy said for around the house.
