I was driving to work this morning and the person in the car in front of me threw a bag of fast food garbage out of their window. Littering really bothers me!

i just find driving annoying in general. i have terrible road rage, and i hate everyone else on the road. if you're going slower in the left lane than the people in the right, i will yell at you until you get over. i'm normally a nice person, but something just comes over me when i'm behind the wheel. i need to work on it.

Bad/Lazy/Incompetent/Impatient Drivers:Not using your turn signal during lane changes (or not using your turn signal at all), driving the same speed as the driver in the lane next to you (and as a result, blocking anyone from passing you), driving and talking on your cell phone, honking like a mad person (because you think I should turn in front of an oncoming car).

Oh, where do I begin?!
People that don’t use their turn signals. People who smoke around kids. People who yell at kids in public. People who know they have way more than 14 items and get in the Express Lane anyway. People that can’t park within the lines. People who get rid of pets because they are moving/having kids/<insert poor excuse here>. People who tailgate you when there is a huge line of traffic right in front of you (ugh, where do you expect me to go?). People who go 65 in the left hand passing lane and won’t move over. Littering. People in groups who all walk slowly and take up the entire sidewalk/grocery store aisle.

When people with a million groceries go to the self check-out line at the grocery store. Or when people at the drive-thru order one of everything off the menu...if you are ordering for 6 or more people, go inside!

@yoursilverlining: Oh man. You and I could make wonderful friends. I agree with all of these. And they make me irrationally angry... much to my husband's amusement.

People who don't pick up after their dogs! It's inconsiderate and lazy, and they give all dog owners a bad rap!

Right this second, it's people who call in sick repeatedly because they are tired. I'm tired too, dangit! I'd love to sleep in! But nooo, I'm the person that's always flippin here! GAH! Oh, and parents who don't teach their kids to get out of the way of cars!

Picking! I cannot stand when people pick their hands, arms, face, legs, etc. My DH picks and it drives me crazy. Also chewing with your mouth open/making gross noises while eating.

I stopped at the dollar store the other day and walked up to the register with a few bottles of nail polish in my hand. Another lady walked up to the register at the same time and got in front of me with an overflowing cart full of crap...which came to a total of $123! At the dollar store! Really, you couldn't let me go first?

Oh man, so many things, but I guess overall it's rude and inconsiderate people. Whether it's driving, socially, dining, etc, it really bothers me! I feel like camaraderie no longer exists sometimes. For instance, I take the train to work, and people no longer get up to offer their seats to the elderly or (pregnant) women with children in tow. Really people?!

@autumnlove: OMG a whole bag?!
I hate when people are walking forward but their heads are turned completely to the side or behind them so they aren't paying attention to where they are walking AT ALL.
Please look forward if that is the direction you are walking in. There is probably something or someone in your way that you don't notice (like my pregnant belly that you are about to smash into)

In general, laziness. People that complain all day and do nothing to help themselves because they're lazy. People that make excuses to cover up laziness. Drives me insane.

@cheesetomywhine: omg..I had a friend in HS that chewed mouth open. HIGH SCHOOL!! Why haven't you learned to breathe through your nose?! Lol!
@Alivoo01: I was about to leave a store at the outlets saturday and approaching the door with LO's stroller and her in the ergo, and a woman opened the door to come in & almost didn't hold it! I made eye contact with her and she backed up to hold it, lol. Then the next store a lady blew out the door and almost slammed into me, and kept walking. I managed to get it open and get in but seriously??

My biggest BIGGEST pet-peeve is this:
When you're stopped at a multi-lane intersection and I'm in the right lane and want to turn right, and you're in the left lane (or middle, or whatever) and are going straight or left and you're waiting for the light to turn red and you INCH FORWARD SO I CAN'T SEE IF I CAN TURN RIGHT OR NOT BECAUSE YOUR CAR IS NOW IN MY WAY!!!!!! Assholes.

@autumnlove22 Wow, I have NEVER seen anyone litter like that before. I only see people throw out cigarette butts. That is seriously so, so wrong.
Let's see, what pisses me off.....
-DH brings the milk to the table with him when he eats cereal. He doesn't put it back in the fridge until AFTER he finishes his cereal. Once milk gets warm (even if you re-cool it) it NEVER tastes the same!
- People who flake out. Like, you make plans with them and they cancel AFTER they are already supposed to be at your house. UGH.
-My baby being such a crappy sleeper.
-Being stressed out
-My love handles
-My husband peeing with the door open. OMG it drives me nuts. I think men peeing is just so nasty.
-People who don't water their lawn and let it turn completely brown. I think a green lawn makes a home look ten times better.
Hm, that's it for now. Maybe I will be back with more later. haha.

@yoursilverlining: OMG, I HATE POOR EXCUSES FOR GETTING RID OF PETS! Things got SO HARD adjusting to LO and making sure our pup got enough attention, but we toughed it out and made it work. I can't imagine him having to adjust to a new home and new family just because we couldn't deal with adjusting ourselves.

@Adira: THIS.
People who throw cigarette butts out the window. I know, I know, newer cars don't have ashtrays anymore, so where else are you supposed to throw them, blah blah blah. But it still irritates the crap out of me.
Actually, when people throw ANYTHING trash out the window I cringe.
People who are rude to fast food workers. Fast food workers who are rude for no reason. Those irritating sales people at the mall who are trying to ask about my cell phone plan. (Once, I was walking with my mom, and she told them she wasn't interested, and as we were walking away the guy muttered "bitch." My mom had to hold me back because I was going to let loose on him and talk to his supervisor.)
There are sooo many other things that irritate me. But I will try not to be a debbie downer
eggplant / 11287 posts
Oh, also:
People who patron cafes/coffee shops and don't buy anything/just sit their to use free wifi/bring their own food in. Seriously, I manage a cafe/wine bar and you would be surprised how many people come in for a free water, bring in their own teriyaki, and then sit there for three hours and use our wifi. UGH!

Whoa, that is so wrong!!
Yesterday, I had my cart in line in Costco and quickly turned my back to grab something, and when I came back a rude man had snuck his cart in front of mine. I just let it go, but inside I was SEETHING. Some people are so rude/selfish!! I only had 3 things I needed to buy too. Usually, if I have loads of stuff and someone behind me only has a few things, I almost always ask if they would like to go in front of me.
pomelo / 5331 posts
Pretty much everything listed here. Also, checkout people at the store who comment on the outrageous price of something I'm buying, or examine things as they go into my bag. Mind your own G-D business! Or checkout people who have incessant chats with people in line in front of me, usually when done scanning or in between scanning items so it takes forever.
pomelo / 5331 posts
@mrbee: There, that's something else for my list. I hate self-checkouts because something always ALWAYS goes wrong and I end up standing there like a moron waiting for the person in charge of self-checkouts to come and... check me out. I don't think I've ever successfully gone through a self-checkout! They always break or lock me out because they don't recognize that I put an item in my bag.
blogger / nectarine / 2687 posts
people who are rude to people in the service or retail industry. it makes me SO angry when customers talk down to people that are serving them.
at the same time, people in the service or retail industry who are outright snotty for no reason is super maddening, too. though, i suppose it might be from years of being mistreated!

@ladyfingers: Ah I've had good luck with self-checkouts! I'm a fan of not interacting with strangers...

Bigotry, racism, one-upmanship! Judgmental people that assume the worst out of everyone but have no reason whatsoever why they'd come to such horrible conclusions. Oh wait ... we're supposed to be talking about strangers, woops!
honeydew / 7589 posts
- People who drive like maniacs and then flip ME off for driving normally.
- People who make racist/sexist/offensive comments in a joking matter to me, and expect me to laugh. I glare.
- Cashiers who make comments on everything I'm buying... I'd rather not discuss my tofu/pregnancy tests/almond milk/tampons with you, thank you very much.
- People who say insensitive things to pregnant women like "Oh just you wait till your guts are being ripped out, you'll beg for drugs then!" or "Wow, you're really getting fat. Like, I can tell you are pregnant, but if I didn't know I'd just think you were fat."
- People who hate Muslims and say horrible things in front of me, when they know that I've spent most of my life working and living among Muslims and I have many Muslim friends that I love and respect.
- Americans that act like America is the whole world, and are totally clueless about the rest of their planet.
- Fast food people who ALWAYS give you ice when you specifically ask for NO ice.
- People who scream at their children in public, or generally treat them horribly.

Wish this was here yesterday, I was on a ROLL!
Let's see...
While in line at the self checkout (ours looks like a square and you're suppose to make one line) somebody comes up and tries to make a second line and cuts in front of you. The person who goes to self checkout, has an overflowing cart, and no idea how to do it.
People who can't "read" the speed limit sign and go 10 miles under, then when the limit lowers they're speeding! Selfish, inconsiderate people who think they're better than you and the rules don't apply. At school we're suppose to drive around the playground on a gravel road to the front of the school and drop kids off, there have been about 6 emails that mention this. Parents STILL pull up to the short cut through the parking lot and drop there kids off, which clogs the way out for those of us following the rules.
People who don't RSVP, people who can't accept responsibility.
I should stop now!
