Mrs. Bee and I talk mostly about our kids and about work (i.e. Hellobee). We hope to talk about other stuff again someday, but the odds are bleak until the kids are a bit older!

We talk about our families, work (I work with kids so he hears a lot of funny stories), our future, or news (DH is really news-savvy especially with politics).

We watch TV while we eat, so we don't talk when we sit down. We talk while we cook together - about work, family, things that went on during that day, plans for the weekend, etc.

We also watch TV while we eat, so we don't talk much except comment on the food. We normally talk about our day before we eat and cuddle a bit. And depending on how many shows DH's downloaded to watch, we take breaks along the way (check email, read the news, ect) and talk more about whatever before going to bed.
Whatever can be about current events, family news, projects, baby gear, baby stuff, and travel and vacation plans.

We usually have our son at the meal with us, so it's usually "G, take small bites, chew, don't throw that on the floor, thank you, please" interspersed with snippets from the day, the news, what we're doing on the weekend, etc. Nothing earth shattering because we get interrupted.

We talk about his day at work, how I spent my day, LO, and just random things that come to mind.

We talk about our day - mine with lo and his at work. And we're always talking about future or weekend plans (when is everyone available for the baby naming, should we go camping in the fall, what do we have to figure out for our trip to NY in July, what day are we free over the weekend, etc.)

Hubs' work, my day, LO, plans for the upcoming weekend, we gripe about things...All while watching Jeopardy.

right now, we watch tv while we eat, so no talking then. i'm sure when we sit down as a family, we'll be discussing our day. (right now, we usually do that when he calls me on his way home)....

@yoursilverlining: we are the same way! glad we're not alone. Although I'm hoping when we have kids, to break that habit. I remember growing up, the tv was always OFF during dinner!
