I call my MIL by her first name if I need to call her anything. Definitely not comfortable calling her mom. I already have one of those.

They want mom and dad so I use that on occasion. I try to avoid addressing them, if I can help it though, LOL.

It's so funny how many people just avoid calling them anything! Such a weird issue. I always struggle when I'm talking to MIL on the phone and want to ask how FIL is doing. I have to wait until she mentions him and then say "Oh, how is he?" Ridiculous!

First names. I write "Mom and Dad" on cards and stuff when they're from me and DH. I wrote a note that started "Dear Mom and Dad" on the inside of our wedding album that we gave them as a gift, and it made MIL tear up. But, I think she would be weirded out if I called her Mom out loud.
