    Previously, I was a national account mgr with a video distribution company, then I owned my own wedding/celebration cake business. The plan was to return to work after 6 mos but we decided soon after she arrived that it was best for me to stay home with the LO. Best decision ever

    Before I got married and moved to England, I was a depression researcher. Now I help the husband run our business. Once the baby arrives, I'll continue to help him where I can.

    I'm an inpatient hospital pharmacist (in my opinion, its a way cooler job than a retail pharmacist). I LOVE what I do and plan to continue working after having children (someday).

    I working in accounting. I'm working on getting my degree, so right now I do pretty much accounts payable work. Not the most fun, but it's a job!!

    I'm an independent contractor - I am a marketing director for a few small businesses and one non -profit and I also tutor two special needs children daily (1 MI/ADHD and 1 Autistic). I'm working on my MAT to teach Special Education.

    Oh, and right now I'm at my mind numbingly boring temp job doing data entry for some extra cash before I start my practicum next semester. zZzZz

    Sorry you find my profession depressing! I do too, at times...the media is in a sad state of affairs these days. I do PR in the pharmaceutical industry and find it really interesting though - I get to learn a lot about research and data and work with people who are being helped by the drugs I represent.

    I work in PR for a global agency. In previous jobs, my focus has been much more media-centric, but at this company, it's more about strategic communication to a variety of different audiences (which can sometimes include media!).

    @mrbee: It can be a little surprising to learn how media cover what they cover. But, I promise that PR is MUCH more than just media relations.

    Before baby I was going to school and working as a FT nanny... if you could call that a career

    Now I'm just a SAHM. I don't want to be a SAHM forever though. I'm thinking of going to school for nursing.

    @Minnie_Girl: OMG that was my dream job too!! I nearly went to school for English because I wanted to be an editor. AMAZING!!! So jealous.
