Do you cake on concealer? Pick or pop it? Just let it be?
I cake on concealer...it probably delays the zit from going away but oh well!

Oh god... I am the worst!! I have so many scars from zits I have abused in the past.

I squeeze it, pick it, harass it, until it is about 11X bigger than it originally was. And then I put concealer on it. And I just look like I'm walking around with a beige mountainous growth on my face.
I don't get them often, so they drive me INSANE when I do get them. And I only get UNDERGROUND PIMPLES now that I'm pregnant! Those are the most painful, un-poppable ones!

If its a white head I concealer until its...good...then I *HOT* facecloth, drain, benzoyl peroxide.
Underground ones get concealer.

I use a hot washcloth to try and draw it out, and then ice & use cortisone cream.. unfortunately I get them a lot on my chin where they *hurt*. Hoping my skin goes back to normal after pregnancy!

I pop it. Or try to. I can't leave them alone! At night I put a bit of mint julep masque on it. That usually helps it go down in size.

the big ones i get are usually the really deep ones that have no exit, so i sear it with a hot compress for about 15-20 minutes 1-2x per day, which is supposed to help it drain underneath the skin. and then i slop the concealer on. i never ever squeeze these because it just makes it get worse. if it doesn't go away after a week, then i go to the dermatologist and a cortisone shot usually helps it drain.

I pop/squeeze it if I have a whitehead, but otherwise just concealer. I have done the whole compress thing and it just makes them this mess of whitehead/blood that I cannot pop without making a scab, and try conceal that. My face has been a hot mess since I was 13, gotta love genetics.

I am not capable of leaving zits alone. Whitehead, blackhead, anything, I MUST pop/pick at them. And then I use concealer. And when it scabs over, I continue to pick at it... I suck.
Sadly, my dad is a dermatologist, so obviously I should know better. :T

I pop it. If it's the deep, under the skin kind, I try to leave it alone and use concealer.

I don't really get them very often, but when I do I alwaysput on some topical stuff, and then pop it because they gross me out!

I don't get them very often anymore but I steam my face and let it come to the surface. If it's a white head then I use a little pimple squeezer that I got from sephora and then apply zit zapper. Then I soak the pimple squeezer in bleach. If I have an under grounder, that thing gets layers of concealer and powder...and it bothers me until it goes down. Oh and if I'm bad about picking, I apply neosporin.

i also cannot leave them alone, even though i know i should. i also leave a dollop of zit cream or plain yogurt on the zit overnight.

unfortunately, i pop it when it's ready to be popped and then pick at it when it's healing. can't help it.

@kokobee: ditto...my poor face
I have bad genes and had really terrible acne and took accutane throughout my twenties...it is my miracle drug! I only wish I had taken it sooner

zit cream and a little extra foundation or concealer
I am too scared to pop, and I used to feel a little silly about that, but then felt better when I went to get a professional facial and they said that they wouldn't squeeze my clogged pores either, as my skin is too sensitive and I might scar.

Wow, I'm so glad I'm not alone in being physically unable to leave it alone. I KNOW it makes it worse when I pop, but I really cannot help myself. Then, I pick at the scab that it inevitably leaves. Then once it's scabby, it's impossible to conceal. Lovely.
I'm proud of myself though-- I've had an undergrounder on my chin that I did NOT squeeze, and it seems to be going away now. My skin has gotten so oily since I went off the pill, I don't know what to do.

Ditto to @jesslc!
If you (or anyone reading), gets the deep/underground type of zits that take AGES to go away - find a dermatologist. They can inject it with cortisone and it'll just about disappear over night! I swear. It's so worth the visit co-pay too. I've had plenty of times where I've made last minute appointments just for this purpose. If I leave it be, it will take forever to go away and will leave a scar behind. No thanks!

Ugh, I've had ridiculous skin since I was in my teens, and the only thing that ever worked for me was BCP. Now that I'm TTC, the last 18 months have been brutal.
I have super oily, breakout-prone, SENSITIVE skin, which means that anything that would work to take my zits away seems to ruin the rest of my skin.
I use tea tree oil now on my face, and the whole tea tree line from Body Shop. Need to see a dermatologist though.
