Oh man. DH is at the gym, LO1 is trying to fall asleep and DD2 just lost her mind. Screamed and screamed and nothing helped - she's never really done this before!! I tried everything and finally turned on the shower, and she passed out within 30 seconds. Thank God.
What is your go-to trick when your LO won't stop screaming?

Ugh! I used to hate that! For us....it was the yoga ball. Or standing the the laundry room, swaddled with the dryer on! Glad she's sleeping now:)

Dd used to do that as a newborn. We did things for her tummy (bicycles, etc) and would bounce her and jump up and down with her (didn't have a yoga ball) and try the swing and try shushing and music and white noise and swaddling and feeding... There were days where she'd scream for hours anyway, and I don't really consider her to have been colicky, but she definitely had a witching hour and there were times she screamed 6, 7, 8 hours with barely any breaks in between.

It didn't happen a lot but usually I would try to shush him to calm him down enough that he would latch on and nurse!

Yoga ball here too. Didn't always work but it was the most likely to do the trick. This is, of course, assuming I either already tried breastfeeding or my nipples were falling off.
Or if I could go outside, I would put her in the moby and walk... Sometimes to the liquor store.

@sorrycharlie: Ugh - no fun. The running water works for J too, which is lucky because that means he's usually fairly happy during M's bath. (I haven't attempted bathing them together yet).
J is 4 months old and I still had to break out the yoga ball this evening. Of course, nursing him is useful too.
@Foodnerd81: I love the image of the moby walk to the liquor store. Definitely kills two birds...

Alice was a screamer for the first several months. If she wasn't hungry, wet, or tired the only thing that worked was bouncing. Like vigorous yoga ball bouncing or walking up and down the steps pretty quickly.

I turned on Family Feud and paced the family room bouncing her. The TV gave me something to focus on and think about and she loved the sound effects.

Going outside would often help or stripping her down and loosely wrapping her in a soft muslin.

Nursing, take her outside, bounce her on the yoga ball, 5s's, put her in the moby and pace, put her in the stroller and walk..

My son had colic and two things helped me get him to stop crying, baby carrier or swing + the vacuum running this worked like a charm, or a car ride.

Bouncing on a yoga ball or the edge of a mattress vigorously, pacing while sort of "swinging" back and forth (twisting upper body back and forth) and shushing loudly and continuously, going for a drive. Once in a while a swing would work, but not often.
