If I ignore the door, usually the doorbell rings over and over again. So I usually get the door and sign for the package while I give the UPS guy the dirtiest look I can muster.
What do you do when you're putting down your LO and the doorbell rings?

I finish putting LO down and then go to the door. I hate repeat doorbell ringers! Maintenance came this morning and rang the bell 3 times before I could get downstairs to answer the door! Ugh!

At our old place you couldn't hear the doorbell from her room.
Our new place doesn't have a door bell! And we rarely have visitors.
I would ignore if we had one though!

I would probably get the door if I was expecting someone, otherwise I would do what I have to do first, and then get the door.

I would also ignore. I rarely have to sign for packages, and they usually leave it at the door without ringing the doorbell.

We don't have a doorbell! But I would ignore the knocking if they only knock once. A repeated knocking might warrant bringing a screaming baby with me to the door!

our current doorbell is really soft so i have to try hard to listen for it...luckily/unluckily the FEDex/UPS guy bangs on the door if i don't answer after the first ring. If i'm in the middle of putting LO to nap, I pray he doesn't wake up from the sound. If he just got in his crib, i run down, grab the package and then back to LO's room.

I get extremely pissed (bc doorbell ringing = crazy-pants dog) then I think in my head, "why haven't I made the sign: sleeping baby, ring doorbell at own risk?"

I usually just put them down really quick and run to the door. The poor delivery guys are just doing their job, and not trying to ruin anyones lives or anything.

I would cry a little bit, and then depending on where we're at in the routine I may just delay the nap a bit and go to the door. But, our doorbell is out of commission, the delivery folks just leave packages, and everyone that I would want to talk to knows to knock.

No kids yet but my friend has a sign over her doorbell asking for visitors not to ring. Apparently that didn't work so she made another sign, once again asking that the doorbell not be used but also pointed out the thumb tack that had been secured to the doorbell. She said she never had an issue after that.
