I have so.many.pictures.and.videos. I have no idea what to do with them all. Once they have been printed into books or albums, do you delete them or hold onto them for sentimental reasons? I need to find some time to finish the first couple years of scrapbooks and once I am done with that, I am considering purging some pictures. It hurts me to do so, though!
What do you do with all of your pictures and videos?

Everything gets uploaded to Google Photo. I regularly get Chatbooks... And... That's about it. I need to re-think b/c I don't want a billion chatbooks at home either. Maybe now that DD is 1 we just save all the pic and do a yearly book...

I just started tackling this project. Printed 4x6 photos in clear sleeves in an album from scrapbook.com. I think printed albums look really nice but in 40 years I think people would appreciate having printed photos. We will do a first year album to give to T when she's out on her own.

Since then I upload to my laptop about once a week!

I still need a solution for the little videos! They are priceless to me and right now I just have some on the computer, some on drop box, some on my phone, and some on a hard drive.
But I want some kind of tangible filing system so LO can watch them when she's older. Like good old DVR's, that she could have pulled out and watched whenever she wants. Except those are obsolete now.

They regularly get saved to an external hard drive. Then even more regularly uploaded to Amazon Cloud Photo Storage. I also have some in dropbox and Google Photos.

right now they are just dumped into folders on my laptop and backed up onto drop box. one of my mat leave goals is organizing them and making photo books. I don't think i will delete the electronic files though. part of organizing them will be going through and i will try to get rid of blurry/similar pics to reduce clutter. but i'll keep the rest even if they don't make it into a photo book. definitely keeping the videos!

Cull them down to the good ones and back them up on One Drive. Then delete from the phone.
The ones we take on our Nikon DSLR, I back up on One Drive and also keep a local copy on my laptop.

Everything is backed up to the cloud.
I cull all the photos and figure out which ones are worth keeping vs. deleting. At that point, I plan to keep everything forever given that storage is so cheap. It does make it hard to find the "best" ones, but I tag them with * ratings and then rely on searching to find photos.

@regberadaisy: my MIL has all of BIL's baby pictures in her safe since that is the only thing she has left (he passed away as a child) so i'm like i need to do something with ours gosh forbid something would happen.

I use zenfolio, it was recommended by a photographer friend. You have to pay, but I have unlimited storage for photos and videos. You can organize everything in albums and share them (or not) and they also give you access to low cost print services. I've been using it for 3 years and it is definitely worth it to me.
