No need to get too personal, but do you save it, spend it? Something else? Last month DH got three paychecks instead of the normal two so we used it to catch up on a few things and to get the furniture for baby E. I like when he gets an extra check because I feel like we can get ahead a little.

I never notice it unfortunately. Our bills never stop!

We put it into savings, split between the things we're currently saving for - new glasses/contacts for me, Vi's birthday party, and emergency fund.

Ditto to @mrsbrewer it all works out in the wash and just goes towards normal bills or covering the next months bills. Our savings plan is always the same every month.

Nothing really. My husband gets paid every other week so there are usually 2 months/year where he gets 3 paychecks, but when that happens it means that the next month we won't get a paycheck for almost 2 weeks. So the last check just hangs out in our checking account to pay the first half of the month bills. Usually after a few months that means we have extra money in our checking account and then we just move it over to savings (we don't keep too much more than necessary in checking), but it isn't like, a structured thing.

It doesn't change how we budget. DH gets paid 15/31, I get paid every two weeks. But we still budget every dollar. It's not "extra money" unless I work extra hours.

We put it towards his credit card, if needed. If that's not an issue, we save it towards a house project.

I know it's totally a mental thing, but I LOVE those months when I get three paychecks instead of two. I try to donate more those months, because I feel extra benevolent when there's that much extra money in my checking account, haha!

We don't notice. Most likely that'll be a month where we have three mortgage payments anyway.

The only thing it changes is that he gets an extra 50-100$ because there is no insurance taken out, and we will spend that extra! Everything else on the 3rd paycheck is already earmarked for bills, since I pay them every week.

I usually try to put that entire extra paycheck into savings and pretend that we never got it... we live our lives as if we didn't have that extra paycheck.

I'd love that. I get 15th and last day of the month and DH is last day of the month, so no surprise checks for us.

We usually put it on our mortgage. 6 extra payments a year is a pretty good thing!
