We put all the silver coins in an automatic coin counter, and the pennies go in a coffee container. We will probably just cash them in when they are full and put it into savings for us or for LO.

We throw it in a big jar and we take it to a Coinstar machine when it gets full.

I have a big empty wine jug that I cleaned out that we put spare change into. When it's full we'll take it to a coin-counter and put it in LO's savings account.

my husband uses all coinage for paying for things.... lol Otherwise I eventually get around to wrapping it and taking it to the bank.

We put it in a big jar and then roll them ourselves when it gets full. I think it was around $120 last time. Unfortunately we had to use it to pay bills.......

It stays in the coin part of my wallet until it gets way too full and then I start paying for things in change, lol.

If it's at home, it goes into a cup on the dining room table that I'll fish out $1.29 every now and then to buy coffee on the way to the train.
If it's at the shop, it goes into a bag that gets deposited into the kid's account every quarter.

I use it to make exact change if I'm paying cash for something. Otherwise silver goes in a vase and pennies go in a beer bottle hockey piggybank thing. Except Canada is phasing out the penny so probably should get that rolled soon...

I donate the change in my car to drop boxes.
The change in my house goes into DS's piggy bank.

We put ours in a tin container in our kitchen. When we go on a trip, we cash it in. We always guess how much it will be I purposely NEVER use my change so that helps it to add up quickly to help with trips!

I save it up in a glass container. I go to the grocery store and Coinstar it. I usually get an Amazon giftcard.

I have these clear containers, about the size of a fist, that I keep in the upper half of the secretary in DS's nursery. They're behind glass and I keep the doors locked so if somehow he managed to climb up there he wouldn't be able to get in (no way for him to climb up either but I'm paranoid).
One jar is for pennies, another for nickels and dimes, and quarters. I have no idea what I'll do with them once they're full but I imagine I'll open a bank account for DS.

I save it in a glass vase, when it gets full I dump it into a coins tar for an Amazon gift card. Last time we got almost $100!

We almost never use cash so we don't have change. But if we do, I toss it in my draw at work to buy coffee with.

We have 2 years of change that we keep meaning to take in. I always say we'll put it towards a vacation.

My DH and I are pretty good about using change whenever we buy stuff. I carry a little pouch in my bag with change and we use it every time we shop.

We put it in a tall tin in the bedroom, I also purposely don't use change unless I have to just to put it in the tin Lately I've been cashing it in around Christmas time to give us a little larger budget for the kids. It's usually around $160!

We put it into an empty bathroom wipes container. Eventually I will convert the loose change to bills.

I take all of the quarters for parking and the rest goes into a automatic coin counter. This is new because MIL gave us that for Xmas. DH used to leave his change everywhere! It was driving me crazy lol

We keep some in our cars to make exact change when we're paying cash. Most of it goes in DS's piggy bank.

I throw all of our change in a big shopping bag in one of our kitchen cabinets. Cashed in last summer & bought a MacBook Air!

A few Christmases ago, my wife got me a metal piggy bank, so now that's where the pennies live.

we don't use cash very often, so when we do have coins they get used for making exact change. i don't think i ever have more than a tiny handful of change in my change purse!

@Bao: Let's see...we've lived here for almost 7 years, so...that long! It paid for about 3/4 of it

i like to use change to pay for things in cash. DH likes to throw it all in a bowl in our living room. he's in the middle of rolling them all up now.
i fish around the bowl for quarters when we're running low on laundry quarters, or if i know i'll be parking somewhere with meters.

We have a little pony keg we keep it in. We're still filling it up and have yet to take it in. Our bank has a free coin counter, so eventually, we'll take it there. I'm guessing there is a lot of money in there. I can't pick it up anymore.
