@penny lane: My MIL was amazingly not shaken up, she was just mad she couldn't spend the day with her grandson. She said there was fur and blood in the passenger door, gross!

I love reading about the different issues and mommy wisdom that this community has to share. It's really therapeutic to be able to reach out to others for advice. Love Hellobee!

@Katrocap: @Mrs squirreld: @Penny Lane: @Danizaur: Deer is petty common here. Our butcher has a deal with a nearby stately home - every year they carry out a deer cull to control the population and he gets the carcasses, butchers them and then gives a portion back to the stately home to sell in their shop. He sells the rest. Venison is quite pricey but really lovely.
I wouldn't eat squirrel because (don't take this the wrong way, Mrs S), squirrels are vermin here. The grey squirrels basically killed off all the red squirrels and, yeah, they get into your loft, crap everywhere and are viewed as rats with bushy tails.
DH and I ordered some kangaroo burgers off the interwebs a few months back. They were nice!
Here in the UK, our police carry truncheons and pepper spray. A select few carry tazers but they are classed as fire arms here - as is pepper spray, come to think of it! It's illegal here for civilians to carry pepper spray. Our police don't even have bullet proof vests, just stab vests.
Here are a couple examples of British policing at it's finest! Would you give these guys guns??

@Cherrybee: bah aha... I will admit the red ones are my favorites you reminded me of that episode of satc when Carrie says a squirrel is just a rat with a cuter outfit! Lol.

I love the wisdom of experience!
If you hit a moose or other animal here, it's state law to report it. If you don't take it, then they will take the meat for charity. Nothing is wasted!

I love everything about this site. I hate I didn't find it until after I had LO, but the information I've received has been invaluable. I also love how non-judgemental everyone is. I'm on another forum that can get downright nasty when opinions differ.

@NavyRN2012: I know what you mean! I subscribed to a popular site with lots of members so I thought it would be helpful but the mommies are super mean to each other. I stopped going to the site a few months ago.

I love HB for a ton of reasons, but what I love the most is that I met my two IRL best friends on this site. We talk every day and hang out SO MUCH. They are the most encouraging and supportive women I have ever met. They are beautiful and funny and incredible mothers. I mean come on, who texts you at 11:30 at night when your kid is sick and says they will come over and bring you whatever you need?
I never would have met them if it wasn't for hellobee.

I was just about to write what you said, @Rainbow Sprinkles! (Xoxoxoxo). Because of HB, I have found a safe, supportive community of caring, smart mothers (and fathers! Hi, Mr. Bee!). And more than that, I now know 2 amazing women IRL, and they are full of wisdom, are beautiful, smart, fun, and true friends. They are also super moms and I absolutely adore their children. So very grateful!

@erinpye: I don't know if we'd still be breastfeeding if it wasn't for you! I'm so thankful for the wisdom and experience you bring to the table, particularly regarding tongue tie and lip tie.

Like other bees mentioned, pretty much everything!! The ladies on here so super helpful and not judgmental. They provide first hand experienced advice and positive criticism. Can't get that anywhere else!
