I usually opt for a dress. But ive seen dress pant blouse combos that are wedding appropriate!

i always wear a dress, but there were guests at my wedding in pants and blouses that were totally appropriate. i think it depends on the formality of the wedding though.

Pair it with some really great jewelry and/or a "party belt" as my aunt calls them to bring the outfit together.

I usually opt for a dress, too, but as long as there aren't any strict dress requirements on the invitation, nice pants and a blouse should be perfectly fine. And if you don't feel comfortable going that route, maybe hit up a thrift store? You never know what sort of treasures you can find!

Like others, I think I've always worn a dress, but there are always some women in nice pants and it has never seemed inappropriate to me.

I have only ever worn dresses. I have found surprisingly nice dresses for cheap at Old Navy this summer, probably comparable in price to a thrift store. I wore a couple to weddings and got lots of compliments.
