I LOVE orange chicken. But I try to be a little healthier and I get chicken and mushrooms usually. Sometimes I splurge though

@artbee: Uhhhh me too!! And I'm heading to the grocery store on the way home. Never a good idea to shop hungry!

DH and I order a feast!
We get chicken and broccoli, eggrolls, chicken fingers (terrible but sooo good), and either dumplings or lo mein. I'm so hungry just thinking about it.

@winniebee: Good gracious that sounds so delicious right now. This was a terrible idea to have a bunch of pregnant women talking about this!!
GOLD / wonderful grape / 20289 posts
@MamaMoose: When I was in college our grocery store at a little Chinese takeout place in it. It was awesome!
@winniebee: Did you watch Gilmore Girls? They always ordered soooo much and it all looked sooooo yummy!

We usually get a pu-pu platter for 2 (lots of terrible for you apps) and pork fried rice. Sometimes we'll get extra crab rangoons! I also love to get general tso chicken and chicken chow mein on occasion. But usually just the fried stuff in the pu-pu like chicken fingers and egg rolls.
And, now I want chinese take out. Ugh!

I order a lil more traditional like beef flat noodles, roast duck and bbq pork with rice, peking style pork, etc. I'm craving it now. Might be where we eat out at tonight. Ha!

I usually eat spring rolls and yeung chow fried rice. The place by me is just so-so and not super authentic so I just get something basic that they can't mess up.

I like LO mein from takeout places. The place near us makes a good jiajang mein as well. More traditional places I like flat rice noodle soup with roasted meats.

Mmmm, yall are making me hungry. My fave is Schezuan Beef or Mongolian Beef. Or cashew chicken. Also, pork dumplings. And crab rangoon. And spring rolls. We don't always get ALL of those things, but I want them all right now, haha.

Walnut shrimp... I love the stinky sweet mayo sauce! And unauthentic eggrolls (the ones with pretty much pure cabbage in them), or cream cheese wontons.
Whenever I order Chinese take-out, I usually get the least authentic food-- I only crave that when ordering Chinese to eat at home.

Mongolian beef, General Tso's chicken, something with shrimp! Mmmmmmm.

O M G. I need Chinese food NOW.
I usually order chow mein for my LO and something with veggies for me, like Beef & Broccoli or Chicken & String Beans. I also love Walnut Shrimp. YUMMMM.

@mrs. wagon: Oh no! How old was he when you gave it to him? M tried kim and rice for the first time and loved it! yay! I ate an entire LARGE pack of kim and rice tonight.

@mrs. wagon: My LO doesn't like mashed potatoes. Who doesn't like mashed potatoes??? Hope it grows on her.
blogger / watermelon / 14218 posts
@chopsuey119: It was just a month or so ago, so over the age of 2! Ohhh we haven't tried kim and rice yet, but I'm sure he'd love it...!!
@artbee: NEITHER DOES RJ!!! What kind of kid doesn't like buttery, sweet, creamy mashed potatoes?!?!?! Sighhh.
hostess / wonderful honeydew / 32460 posts
@mrs. wagon: Dang. I thought all babies and kids loved it! And dood. You need to get some kim and rice in that babyboy pronto!
blogger / watermelon / 14218 posts
@chopsuey119: hehe I'm sure it'll be a daily thing once my parents are here. We never have rice going in the house since I don't cook Korean food. Poor Rob Sr. got SO EXCITED when I said I wanted Korean food because he only gets to eat it when one of our moms is here!!
GOLD / wonderful grape / 20289 posts
@mrs. wagon: Well that makes me feel a little better. I don't have the only crazy kid!
hostess / wonderful honeydew / 32460 posts
@mrs. wagon: I rarely cook korean food too. I really should start cooking more though. DH loves galbi jjim and galbi tang.
Maybe I'll go to hmart this weekend. I need to stop eating out so much.
For father's day you should cook some Korean for Rob hehe

@artbee: he hated bread for a while too! What kid doesn't like bread?!? Some kids live ONLY on bread!!!
@chopsuey119: that's actually a great idea... I can't eat spicy food in general, but I do make a pretty good kimchi jigae so maybe I'll do that. I can eat the meat out of it but it doesn't make a full meal for myself... sigh. Haha. I'd probably just go to Hmart (40 mins from us! sigh) and get a bunch of premade ban chan.
GOLD / wonderful grape / 20289 posts
@mrs. wagon: Wow, I guess that's good that he's not a big fan of carbs. But I'm not sure that would work in my house!
hostess / wonderful persimmon / 25556 posts
@bpcmarj: oh I love the poo poo platter!!
We get some chicken dish, sautéed green beans and crab rangoon. Also, don't forget the egg rolls and sweet and sour sauce and hot mustard. Mmmm.

Mainly lo mein and DH orders a fried chicken pieces. Back home, I'd order Schezwan eggplant, salt & pepper chicken wings/calamari/shrimp or crab, Manogolian beef, and BBQ pork fried rice - not all at once, but it's usually a combo of those.
