I only eat fake chinese food (i.e. pei wei/pf changs etc) but I usually get some version of kung pao, sesame, or garlic chicken. anything with crispy chicken, snap peas, onions, maybe some peanuts, and a not-too-sweet sauce.

When I don't feel like cooking but want Chinese it depends on my mood. Favorites include squid with sour cabbage, roasted duck, any noodle soup or beef ho fun.
Once a year I might crave bad Chinese (we used to own one growing up) I get Kung pao chicken, Lo mein and sometimes chicken with broccoli. But no one's comes close to my daddy's!

Right now I would order a beef took from 101 Noodle Express, but considering that's on the other coast it's not an option. So, lo mein, egg rolls, crab rangoon, and egg drop soup.
Took = roll

@SweetMamaM: I tried a new place last time and they didn't give us the sweet and sour sauce to dip. So I called back to let them know they forgot it and they said it didn't come with! Never heard of that before - I need a dipper with my wontons

@locavore-mama: I'm afraid to ask, but why is yellow fried rice gross?
GOLD / wonderful pomegranate / 28905 posts
@mrsbookworm: it uses leftover oil from the frier to achieve the yellow coloring along with a bit of yellow food coloring. I'm not saying all do it this way but a lot do. I always ask for them to make fried rice with white rice and if not just plain white rice!
