I always order the same thing too! Shrimp Tom Yum soup and chicken pad thai - no bean sprouts. I like it to be at about 5/10 spice level.

Beef pad see ew noodles, a fried rice, garlic shrimp and a veggie. Yum!

Pad kee mow (the wide flat noodles in the spicy basil sauce with chicken), tom kha gai soup (it's so good!), or one of the curries with chicken. My husband prefer pad see ew or one of the curries.

Either fishcakes or tom ka gai (chicken and coconut soup) to start and either duck red curry or massaman curry for main.

-Phad Thai noodles

-Panang curry
-Swimming Rama (spinach, chicken covered in peanut sauce)
-Larb Gai (salad)
And my husband loves a Thai iced tea to go with it!

I LOVE THAI. We have a fantastic place 10 minutes away that's a tiny hole in the wall with this old Thai couple just cooking in the back. On nights when they're busy they just stop answering the phone. On those nights Wagon Sr .just goes to the restaurant, orders, and waits! That's how good it is.
Here's our list of regular orders:
Butterfly shrimp
Pad thai with chicken and shrimp
Pineapple fried rice
Masaman curry (mild, for me) with tofu or chicken
Ram Long Song with shrimp (this is basically steamed veggies and shrimp with peanut sauce)
Himmaparn chicken (basically chicken with sweet sauce)
They do other classics like Pad See Ew and Drunken Noodles if you ask for it, but we like to stick to their menu because that's what comes out best.

Well we only have one Thai resturant in my town, so I always get their "Orchid Chicken" which is like a spicy chicken/chili stir fry!

I order Green Curry chicken and fresh rolls 90% of time. Lately I have been on a Panang curry with beef kick though.

Panang curry, spring rolls, and butterfly shrimp. My husband usually gets this duck curry dish that is to die for as well!

It's actually malaysian, but green curry ayam with chicken. They also make steamed spicy pork dumplings that are to die for!

I second massaman curry. Though I always look first for something with noodles, vegetables and peanut sauce. A combo that most restaurants don't have, sadly...

Lard Nah
Pad Thai
Pineapple/duck curry
Pineapple fried rice
Pad see iew
Tom Yum Soup
And some other glass noodle dish. Forgot the name!
pineapple / 12234 posts
Panang curry, either all veggie or with chicken. Mmm and crab wontons if the restaurant has them!
cantaloupe / 6171 posts
usually either drunken noodles (pad kee mao) or massaman or yellow curry (or sometimes red curry). but it depends on the place--there's one restaurant near us that has ridiculously good pad thai and crab fried rice, and another that has this really delicious dish that's soft tofu, onions, and peppers sautéed with basil with a fried egg on top--yum!

Maaaan, now I reaaaally want Thai food!! Our usual picks (depends on which Thai place we go to):
- Tofu pad thai
- Basil chicken
- Massamun curry
- Basil fried rice
- Pad see ew
- Moo ping (pork skewers, SO good)
I also love Thai iced coffee, but I can't order it if we get Thai for dinner because it will keep me up all night!

@artbee: pad Thai with beef. We just went last night and it was relish! Dh gets duck curry or mango curry and my bff gets yellow curry.
grapefruit / 4213 posts
The place we go to is a Vietnamese/Thai place so we get some combination of chicken or beef pho, pad thai, fried rice, spring rolls, and DH gets some beef and noodle dish that his mom makes. We don't really get anything exotic although the menu sure has some wild things on there.

Always pad Thai. I love everything, but when I don't order it, I get bummed that I didn't. I know, I'm weird.

@LovelyPlum: Especially if someone else gets it, right? Then you have to sit there and watch someone else eat what you want to be eating!

I don't go often enough to remember the name but I like the yellow curry with potatoes or Pad Thai.

We get a lot of the dishes mentioned here, but one that hasn't been listed yet, is our favorite appetizer... Thai curry puffs! Not a lot of Thai places have them though. But if yours does, check it out!
And for dessert, mango and sticky rice

I really want Thai now too but we're on a tight budget for the next two weeks!

@artbee: OMG, seriously. Somehow, curry (which is so awesome), doesn't taste NEARLY as good once I've gotten a whiff of those wonderful noodles.

@regberadaisy: We're on a tight budget too and the Thai place that we go to is expensive (Especially because in my world it's a must to order soup).... but DH's parents took us to dinner on Friday and tonight my parents want to take us. I'm never going to turn down Thai!
