It's been all over the WA state news that the minimum wage should be raised to $15 an hour according to Seattle's mayor.

Ideally, it sounds great - I'm just wondering where businesses will come up with the extra money, in a recovering economy and how it will effect costs of items in general. Will a $4 burger be $10? It seems like the cost of living would go up in my state. I know raising the minimum wage just a little can help, so I'm for it but $15 seems like a lot...considering my sister, who's a teacher, really only makes $14 an hour after taxes, with a masters degree. Although, I think teachers are WAY underpaid, which is another topic.

Thoughts?
