I'm going to a baby shower later today and the invite asked everyone to bring a book with a message for baby written inside. I have no idea what to write! Do you have a go-to message for this situation?

I usually "inscribe" books I give to babies/kids from our family, but I've never been asked specifically for a message! I usually just put the date, and happy birthday/merry Christmas/etc. For a baby shower, maybe "Welcome to the world!" would be cute, or, something about the story if it's a meaningful/favorite one for you.

@twodoghouse: that's usually exactly what I write. "Welcome baby (name), hope you enjoy this book as much as (LO) does." Short and sweet.
