When we first introduced our son to Bee's brother, he misheard "uncle" as "Jungle"! So now that's what he calls him: "Jungle"!
What does your LO call their aunts and uncles?

I have two sisters. One he calls Auntie and the other Auntie Mel. He came up with the system himself. Uncles are uncle + first name.

Mama for uncle and (name) Mami for aunt. Those are the names for aunt and uncle in my husbands language and LO already goes seem least between English mama (me) and Tamil mama (uncle).
For my brothers and sisters, she hasn't said their names yet because she's 19 months but she can point to the right person when I say "Aunt Mary" or whatever.

She's 17 months and calls her uncles "cul" (pronounced exactly as uncle minus the un). She hasn't verbalized anything for her aunts yet.

Uncle first letter of his name x2. And my two brothers Small Gui Gui and Big Gui Gui. Gui Gui is uncle on mom's side in my dialect.

I guess this is uncommon but we were always just first name family so LO just uses their first names.

I'll probably get blank stares for this one, but I love the cute nn and first name basis the Kardashians use with their neices and nephews. So cute. Koko, Kiki, Kenny for Khloe, Kim, and Kendall respectively.

@mrsjazz: is some of your family Latin? One of our good friends is Puerto Rican and I would love for her to be Tia or Titi.
@Anagram: awe, I like that- lots of "mommies"
@mrsjyw: cul is the coolest thing ever!

Aunt Whatever and Uncle whatever. Or just their first name.

DS doesn't formally say the name yet, but we refer to my brother and my cousins as "cow foo (first name)". Cow foo being the proper Chinese uncle term for my mom's side. For everyone else, it's Aunt or Uncle (first name).

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: Not my family but my best friend is Puerto Rican and she is also LO's godmother. She calls her Titi, but she liked Titi so much that she calls my close friends who are like aunts to her Titi, too.

@Anagram: same here, except we say maama and athia instead of mami. One set of cousins is periappa and periamma (big dad & big mom)
For my side and our close friends, it's uncle and auntie

My sister is Auntie Sissy, everyone else is just Aunt or Uncle first name.

@JerricaBenton: we do the same. First named only. Even though I called my own aunts and uncles "aunt or uncle first name", I feel like it sounds really off to do it for my LOs.
