I usually just put her in her bouncy seat and bring her in the bathroom with me if I am home alone. If DH is home he watches her. I have no idea what I will do when she is mobile...I guess wait until she naps or is in bed...

I had this problem too! I did bouncy then Pack and Play but when that didn't work, it became a hygiene problem!! But now I just take her in the shower with me.

I wait until he's napping (he's ten months), unless DH is home. Or since I'm a sahm, just don't shower

She usually screams her head off from the pack n play. or I wait until she is asleep!

Usually I just don't shower and wait for DH to come home. If I absolutely need to be clean, then I bring him in the bathroom with me and keep him entertained with my phone or iPad.

I wait until he's sleeping but he usually wakes up whenever I decide to shower.

@travelingbrit: Don't LO's wake up every time you try and do something? lol...I swear!

@Bao: yeah I'm just noticing that in the five hours that I was home alone today I managed to take a 5 minute shower and eat 6 spoonfuls of soup

I take showers at night while LO is asleep. It's the only way I can assure I get a shower every day.

She hangs in the rock and play and talks to herself!

I shower every morning before DH goes to work so he watches LO.

I usually wait until she's asleep. Otherwise I pop her in the rock n' play and bring her in the bathroom. The sound of the shower running is very soothing to her.

When the baby can sit up in a baby tub, put the tub in the shower, put LO in it, hand them some toys, and carry on! When LO was really little, I put LO in the car seat, took that into the bathroom and put it on the floor. I am fairly obsessive and LO didn't like not being able to see me, so I took down the shower curtain so I could see LO through the clear plastic liner. And then I sang my full repertoire of showtunes, because there aren't that many audiences who really appreciate my talents (also, shower acoustics!)! LO was generally okay with being strapped into the car seat as long as there was some entertainment.

I just put him in the crib or the swing...sometimes he's sleeping and sometimes he's awake, sometimes he's happy and sometimes he's not lol. My thought is that he's safe and not in any pain, so if he needs to cry for five minutes while I clean myself up, that's ok. I'm a very fast shower-er though.

He has joined us in the shower since his cord fell off. At first just on a towel, then a bath seat, then just loose. Now he has a bucket of toys and has a little mini bath in the bucket.

I cleaned my bathroom really well, locked all the cabinets, and then filled the bottom drawer with baby bath toys. She just crawls around and then walks around the bath tub and plays peekaboo with the curtain.

I used to do that until he was mobile and then just waited until he napped. Now with two kids I shower at night so it's faster for me to get ready in the morning. I miss taking morning showers!

I usually wait until DH is home and DS is down for the night. But I prefer to shower at night anyway.

If I want to shower during the day I have to let him in with me. He just stands around playing- drawing on the steamy doors, messing with shampoo bottles etc. Usually though I just shower at night after he's gone to bed.
