Right now my daughter (3) says a lot of her l's as y's and it cracks us up when she says: "I want to sit in your yap!"

My little guy calls the hiccups the "pick-ups." It would only take me correcting him once, but I can't! It's too cute!

Oh and stick doesn't start with a "st", it starts with a 'd'.

He's 18 months and says 'oodoo' when he means either smoothie or hoover (both big obsessions of his). I always have to wait to see what part of the flat he runs off to to work out which one he means!

watermelon is "mellow melon" and her back pack is her "pack pack" I love both of these

@autumnlove: Cindergorilla!!! Hahahaha. Poor Cindy.

Lellow instead of yellow. And she like to "ride the alligator" instead of "ride the elevator". I can't bring myself to correct them.

My LO refuses to walk up any stairs that she deems are steep (which is like every single staircase), except she calls it “steam”. So we’ll approach stairs and she’ll pipe up: “you need to pick me up mama, those stairs are *way too steam*!”
She’s also obsessed with Maleficent, who she calls Ra-milicent. “Oh no, Ra-milicent the witch is here!”

Not my child, but my nephew for the longest time called my husband "Aunt Chaw-wles" We still sometimes call him Aunt because it was so funny

She used to call the library "yeah-baby!" Right now she calls our friend Katrina something like Tree-na-na. I'm sure there are more!
pomelo / 5628 posts
Instead of baNAna he would say BAnana. It was the cutest! But he recently started saying it right. His current cute one is "I'm Bacited!" Instead of "I'm excited."

@Truth Bombs: haha - ours calls the elevator an alligator, too!
@mediagirl: :-x haha
@LuLu Mom: DD1 used to call her back pack a "pack pack", too. I was sad when she stopped

I love when he says please because it comes as "peezsh". And he started calling my dad Bubba (for Grandpa), lol.

I laughed so much yesterday when she was in the bath and said "water" and it came out "wanker"!

She calls her morning smoothie a nilkshake. Not clue where she got it from.

My daughter loves to sing along to Bruno Mar's song "uptown funk", but instead singing "I want to funk you up" it sounds like "I want to f*ck you up". lol

She struggles with hamburger, she calls them han-ga-ber, but cheeseburger, no problemo!

My faves: Nilk (for milk), Nogut (for yogurt) and open (for oatmeal, which he recently corrected). His speech is starting to get so much clearer, he is loosing his baby talk

@mediagirl: Hahaha at stick! The inappropriate ones totally make me giggle.
My LO is just starting to say a lot of words, and my favorite mispronunciation is crocodile. He just says croc...but he leaves out the R.
The weirdest one is that he says caca instead of grandma. I don't get it, but that's definitely who he is talking about/to when he says it!
hostess / wonderful persimmon / 25556 posts
@Mamasig: I might say that word wrong, too! What is it?
blogger / honeydew / 7081 posts
Mosquito is mossa-tito.
Pancakes are panpakes.
And for some reason, Cheerios and the name of her babysitter (Tiffany) are the same word. Kinda like 'toe-si-noes'

Mazagine = Magazine
Alligator = Elevator
She used to say "got-for" instead of "forgot"

It's summer, and we drink a lot of electrolyte water, which my daughter refers to as 'electric lights'. And it's just so adorable that we totally say it too, which is not helpful.

Baseck-o-ball instead of basketball and pime cone insteadn of pine cone. His other ones are on french words but they are just as cute or even cuter!!

@Mrs. Lion: I'm not sure how ours became the "brocco-leen"!
DD is 3 and sometimes confuses her letters and adds a "R" in of words. "re-brella" instead of umbrella is her current fave, and she calls her babushka dolls "rebooshkas"
