Was wondering why some people comment as a guest on the blog for a long time, and never create accounts. And why others lurk the boards for months before creating an account at all.
What drove you to create an account on Hellobee?

I like being a part of forum communities that relate to my life somehow, and I wanted to have a baby. So, here I am.

It looked fun and I was bored and lonely on my maternity leave!

I think I had to because the site was in beta when I joined. I lurked for awhile because I was new to the whole online community thing and then started participating more once we started TTC.

I found Hellobee via Weddingbee and I found I could get more responses, interaction and feedback on here in the baby department.

I was on Weddingbee before when I was getting married. Then right after I got married, I was really done with the Wedding scene. I wanted something for the part of my life that I am in now. Preparing for children! So I joined Hellobee!

I was curious about the site. Since I was TTC I thought it could be helpful.

I heard word on WB when the sure was in beta, I joined back then but I was still in my wedding phase. I became very active 3 months ago after LO was born. I wish I would have been back sooner, like during my TTC and pregnancy journey. I'm here to stay now though

I was on WB - and we had a pregnancy thread over there. Most of my "friends" transferred over here so I came along too - so glad I did! It's much more baby-friendly here!

I also joined for the same reasons as @MrsBrewer: I was a weddingbee junkie and once my wedding was over I still posted there but was thinking about starting a family and then got pregnant sooner than I thought !

I created an account the first day I could because I enjoyed my experiences with others on WB.

I heard about the site on weddingbee and liked that this was geared specifically towards all things pregnancy/parenting. I thought it would be nice to be part of a forum and discuss things my friends didn't want to.

I was trying to decide whether it was time to TTC or not and stumbled upon Hellobee via Google searches about the topic. I joined straight away - I saw that it was a nice, supportive, knowledgeable community with minimal drama.

I am on WB, lurked for a while on HB because I wanted to learn what it was all about and heard of WB members moving over, and I finally created an account because another member posted a question about my specific area of the country and I wanted to answer! I was initially afraid to create an account because I'm not TTC yet and I wasn't sure if I really belong here yet (still not sure since I'm not TTCing for another 6 months). Mostly, I just hang around the Not Baby Related section.

like some PPs, i was a long time WB user, heard about HB and when i got pregnant I finally decided to check it out here. I've been going through phases with coming here though because I was just so used to and comfortable with WB, but i just find WB really boring now. And that i actually have my baby, this site is really useful and fun!

I don't remember - which is weird because I never sign up for stuff. It might have been because I found Weddingbee one month before my wedding and I was really sad that I didn't know about it until then. So when Hellobee started, I was determined that I wouldn't miss out. Or, it might have been in Beta and I had to sign up.

I'm on WB so that's where I heard about HB. I joined because DH and I were nearing TTC at that point so I was more interested in pregnancy/babies/parenting.

I follow Mrs. bee's personal blog and she mentioned the site, good timing because we just started TTC, now I love being part of this community.

I'm TTC and I wanted to go through the journey with people who were in the same boat as me. I made the jump from lurker to member when I realized that I wanted to offer encouragement and have people walk beside me, too.

Lurked on WB for a long time after the wedding, saw a comment somebody made about the Bees doing a new site, and when I heard that it might be about babies/parenting I wanted to join. I had just gone through a miscarriage and wanted a place where I could belong and discuss it, plus any other pregnancy stuff that came up.

I had and account on WeddingBee and found that HelloBee had more of what I was looking for once I had my LO.

I lurked for a while before creating my account, and then for another two weeks before I actually commented. I like HB as soon as I landed here and knew it would be a supportive and welcoming community!

Im pretty sure I found you in weddingbee, and right when I came over I made the account.

You know, I have never created an account for any website - even the ones I lurk at several times a day. But with Hellobee I really NEEDED lots of advice as a first-time mom living far away from her family and I wanted to feel like part of a community. So I went for it and I'm glad I did!
As for how I found out about the site, I used to peruse Wedding Bee (but never created an account) all the time and then a friend of mine told me you guys had started Hellobee.

I joined because as a Nanny and childcare provider I have been finding it very difficulty landing a position and thought this might help. But as I read more it seems as though this for individuals who are new mothers or interested in becoming mothers. I am available to work as a Nanny but I am not sure if this is the site for me.

I found it from WB, and had been reading. I went to respond to a thread & forgot I didn't have an account. So, here I am!

I joined when the site was in beta, and I wanted to discover everything Hellobee had to offer. Typically I don't participate in boards or comment often in blogs. I'm glad that I dived right in to the boards and found an amazing community.

I joined when the site was in beta, but I don't usually participate in online communities so I didn't participate for several months. I'm glad I finally did! I also used to read WB pre-wedding, and at the time it was only a bog and didn't have boards!

Um, I don't remember, but it was probably a poll I wanted to answer or something LOL. And now I'm hooked and can't quit Hellobee
pomelo / 5331 posts
I had been on Weddingbee as a blogger and then got married and started thinking, somebody should start a Babybee site, and then this got started. So I joined because we were TTC and I wanted to be able to post to the forums. I honestly for some reason thought you weren't allowed to even look at the forum without an account so I made one right away lol.

@ladyfingers: At first, you did need an account to be able to view the site! Once we left private beta, we lifted that restriction...
pear / 1743 posts
I'm the same as @MrsBrewer: and @Mrsbells: - heard about it on WB and it seemed like the next natural progression for me.
