No more than 2. It's still up in the air whether we'll stick with 1 or have another.
If I was younger and able to stay home, I could maybe see having 3, but that isn't the case for us.

I agree with being happy with 1, 2 is probably ideal and if we didn't both work, I might like more. I think finding balance with 2 will be a challenge but I would like to take it on. My husband isn't so sure so we'll see. I truly am happy with 1!

We're happy with 1. Neither of us have any desire for a boatload of kids, emotionally or logistically.

Wanted 2, have 2. Three would have to be a surprise and sneak in there, but you'd have to get through two forms of birth control, my friend. Plus I'd never retire.

I could "do" up to 4, but 2 is perfect for us.
I can give just the right amount of time and attention to my kids, hubbie, house and myself!
I'd be spread way too thin if we had more.

I think we want three. We already have two. I know for the third though, we for sure want to adopt. I can't do pregnancy again - PPD scares me too much and I hate loosing weight. But for some reason, I just don't feel "done". My husband and I also strongly considered adopting and/or fostering long before we got pregnant with our first child.
I wouldn't want the kid to be older than than our youngest so this is still quite a few years away.

#1 is due in 3 weeks. We will likely have a second and possibly a third- that would be our max.

We have two and will probably have 2 more. I SAH full time so I don't feel spread too thin yet -- if I did WOH I know I could never do more than 2. At least while they're young!! We were talking and probably won't try to get pregnant again until mid to late 2017 so at least our kids would be 4 and 5 when a new one came - that seems doable to me.

3 is my max which is what I'd like. I think 3 would definitely be a bigger stretch financially and logistically which totally scares me. But luckily, my mom and sister live very close and can help with school drop offs, etc.

@anonysquire: oh I thought you wanted a big family? Did that change?
I would love 4 and think I could swing it but no way is that happening. My husband wouldn't be cool with making the sacrifices for more than 2 at this point. Looks like we will have two and I'm okay with that. Lot certainly will make things easier in terms of our future.

@anonysquire: I hope that happens for me too. I kind of think it will once my baby is here. Can't wait to see your little boy and hear his name. Little Z kills me on IG with her cuteness. Her leotard OMG!

I thought I wanted a big family, but then I was really happy to just have one. We're unexpectedly having another, and I'm sad about losing some of the fun only child things, but I'm excited to see that sibling relationship.

3 is our max, I think. If 1 & 2 had been closer in age- we would have stopped at 2. Currently pregnant with #3 and we are DONE!

With my age and our situation right now, 3 will be our max. #3 was totally off the table until a week or so ago, but now we are open to trying again after this LO is born.
