@MrsTiz: We might consider allowing anonymous threads from an existing account, but I think allowing anonymous comments could be a dangerous thing?

@Happygal: If you look at the bottom, on the right side, there's a list of all of the acronyms that you can access.

@Happygal: I hope the anon feature would only be for the specific thread they created anonymously. I would hope that for any other thread you couldn't choose to go anon just to be snarky or something like that. That would be awful!

@mrbee: What if you (or admins) had to approve them first? That way people aren't going anonymous to be mean. You can tell who the anonymous accounts are anyway, right?
So unlimited threads and maybe a limited number of comments, or everything has to be approved?

<< A way to facilitate for due date clubs to have more than one, super long thread. Or perhaps this is already possible? >>
@Happygal: Due date forums can already have as many threads as they'd like... not super clear on why the due date forums usually prefer to have one giant thread!

@MrsTiz: I see the value in why people might want to go anonymous for a thread...
I don't see the value as clearly for anonymous commenting? I mean, it's there... but the potential for abuse feels much stronger?

@mrs. bird: yes! alerts other than email notifications. i don't like email notifications, but i like knowing if people respond to me!
and quotes are nice too.
@Beetones: i know there's a search function, and i've used it, but i always find it hard to find on my screen (is there some irony in there?)

@mrbee: True. What if the comments were geared more towards answering questions.. perfect example, the thread that was anonymous because the OP was pregnant with a baby with a birth defect and wanted to terminate. Another user had the same experience and was able to offer some fantastic advice to her, but she went anonymous to do it. That is what I see the comments being used for.

@MaisyMay: thanks for pointing out the acronym button. That real estate on the bottom is overlooked by me, but it is helpful. I can usually puzzle them out.
@MrBee: that's good to know about the due date clubs. The long threads are hard for me. I think we're also on the same page about anonymous commenting!

@MrsTiz: I do see the value in it... but just also worried about the dangers!

@mrs. bird: you are soooo right, i never saw that! I

@mrbee: I completely understand your concerns with it! That would be easy to take advantage of

@MrsTiz: It'd be awesome if you could post your idea for anonymous commenting here!
http://suggestions.hellobee.com/
We could all capture the pros and cons there, and maybe someone will come up with a clever way to manage the potential dangers here!
