@Synchronicity: There are some issues with tagging users... this thread spells them out a bit!

We'd love to add this... just need to come up with a design for it!

I'd love the ability to respond to a non-Gold thread as Gold. It feels so disconnected to go to their wall and I'm really bad about checking mine so sometimes if someone has replied there, I don see it for several days and their response doesn't make much sense outside of the context of the thread that was posted several days ago. I hate replying with "walled you" because that's like announcing to everyone that you just told OP something you don't want the rest of them to hear! And maybe a feature that blocks them from replying to you in a non-Gold response.

@Applesandbananas: Would a built-in notification system help out here? So if you walled someone, they'd be more likely to see and get their wall notification...

I liked on other forums if someone replied to a comment you could click the user name and it would take you to the comment they were replying to. like clicking @opinionslikekittens would take you to my comment in the thread.

@Applesandbananas: If there were notification bubbles, like in FB, by your username at the top, would that help your situation?
If you replied, in thread, in Gold, would it be available for everyone who is Gold to see? Or just the user you quoted?

@OpinionsLikeKittens: Do you mean the name of the last commenter in the right column of the main boards? The part that looks like this, I mean:

@OpinionsLikeKittens: YES I love that feature! You click on the username of the person that is being responded to, which takes you to their comment, right?

@MrsMccarthy: yes. Seconded. An easier way to reply to multiple people in one thread, even if they posted several pages back.

@mrbee: What I'm trying to explain is in your comment to me; where it says @opinionslikekittens someone could click my name and it would scroll up to my comment that you were replying to. Sorry I'm really bad at wording this!

@.twist.: ooh that's an interesting idea. like you can reply within the thread but make your comment gold so only gold members can see it? only issue would be what if the OP wants to respond to you? if they can't respond to you, it's a bit awkward, and if they can, it will be confusing to everyone nongold.

@Pirouette: oh yea... mine wasn't a suggestion, I was just trying to understand @Applesandbananas: suggestion. Like you said, I think there would be complications with that.

@OpinionsLikeKittens: Ahh, got it! We programmed the reply feature to work like that on some other sites, but making usernames into links doesn't really work that well on mobile devices (since the browser has to support richtext editing/HTML). So we decided not to do it like that for Hellobee... until mobile browsers get better at support richtext editing!

I would love a notification bubble and drop down to show me what my replies are.

To repeat others, a notification bubble, square, trapezoid, or whatever would be nice. I feel so bad not replying to people because I just either get busy or don't realize I have been replied to.

I'd really love quoting and an iPhone app. Or maybe some responsive design added so it displays better on mobile.

@.twist.: yeah, probably. I'd think a gold reply in a thread would be visible to all gold.
What comes to mind is like IL threads. I find it hard to articulate the tips/advice/commiseration for the OP without sharing at least a bit of what I'd experienced but I especially would want IL/family stuff Gold. I could see how it could be challenging to try to follow the thread if you're a Classic member though.

@Applesandbananas: yah it might be awkward for discussion purposes to have gold posts in a thread open to all!

@Emsmems: Agree, I find it helpful when people leave their due date up so I can figure out roughly how old their LO is! Of course that only works with one child.

A way to be notified when someone replies to you on a thread. Also it's really hard replying to multiple people on a thread if you are replying to people on different pages.

@Mamaof2: I was just coming on here to suggest the same thing! A scroll to the top button would be FANTASTIC. I think about one on here all the time!
