I feel like we are stuck in a rut and running out of "fun" things to do on the weekend. We go to the playground, park, etc, but it would be nice to come up with new things to do.
Suggestions?

Pumpkin patch, Apple picking, corn maze, hay ride type fall stuff? Any farms nearby? Any local festivals?
Library, children's museum, indoor pool, bookstore, toy store, go for a picnic? -
Now that our LO is more mobile and pulling up, we like to go to the local bookstore (B&N) and let him play at the train table while we look at magazines and drink coffee.

The dog park is in our heavy rotation. We stand outside the fence and watch the dogs.

All of the fun fall things already mentioned -- apple picking, pumpkin patch, etc. In other seasons you can substitute other seasonal events. I also like to keep a running list in my head of local museums, parks, pools, playgrounds, hiking trails, libraries, etc. Any week when we don't have something planned already, I go to that list.

@cmomma17: @skibobrown: fall-type activities are a great idea. We do have a farm pretty close by - we'll go check it out next weekend
@Tanjowen: Oh that's a good idea. I don't usually go to bookstores w/my toddler because she makes a mess and pulls all the books off the shelves, but our local B&N has a train table so maybe she will want to play with that while I read

In addition to what's already been mentioned we always go to brunch/lunch!

We go for a family bike ride when the weather is nice. We have a bike seat for our lo on my husband's bike (a WeeRide) and M loves it.
This is a great time of year for fun activities. Check out your local news stations for info on events going on around town every weekend!
